Thanks @GoblinDaughter for the title

It’s nearly December, Father Christmas is busy putting the final touches to his toys on the workshop and we are busy elves preparing for a somewhat different Christmas this year.

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

Thank you all for your help. I think I'll have to download it. DS will be happy anyway. Next question though, does anyone know if I get it now will it go straight on his switch or do I get a code or something so I can do it Christmas Eve?

ArthurChristmas2 · 05/12/2020 08:42

@Sunshineskies I finally got some off eBay. I wasn’t holding out much hope as sizing strange and only £10 a pair. But they’ve arrived as stated, bit thinner but perfectly fine and sizing perfectly (but I measured everyone under the pretence there was a science project at school!).

Oh everyone! The M&S gin is the bain of my existence!

When everyone was first talking about it i though "ooo my step mother would love that" but i knew id be told off for spending that much on one item for her (my dad always tells me not to get them anything) and i didnt really have the money to get it anyway.

I now have her for secret santa limit £20. Can i get the bloody gin? Can i hell 🤦‍♀️ i knew i should have got it at the time!

Im trying one last time to get it first thing tues morning on my day off then i might have to give up. Im gutted it would have been perfect for her and she would have loved it.

mummabear74 · 05/12/2020 10:41
@mummabear74 really great quality. My Son has had his for a year now, washed frequently and still as thick and cosy as when it was bought. I know they are expensive but they I think they're good value for money.
They come in a drawstring bag, packed very tightly so I haven't took the new one out out he bag as it would be a struggle to get it back in so neatly.
That's good to hear and my niece is going to be thrilled. I've ordered another brand recommended here for my DD. She went full cycle of wanting an oodie, changing her mind & now asking why I didn't order her one!

Inastatus · 05/12/2020 10:47

I’ve suddenly decided that I neeeed the game ‘Herd Mentality’ for Xmas day but it looks like it’s the must have game for everyone and it’s sold out everywhere I’ve looked. Can’t believe I missed the hype on it. If anyone finds anywhere with stock (other than eBay where they are asking ridiculous amounts) I’d be very grateful. Thanks.

I think these are pretty foolproof, if you can get one locally.

@JaggyJumper I’ve heard back from glossybox about the £5 mystery boxes, apparently they are just sending them out Willy nilly (my words) and the rest will be arriving shortly. For info, the one I have is really lovely and definitely a bargain. I would say it’s aimed at a young adult/teen with the items.

WeAreTheWeirdosMister · 05/12/2020 15:17

Thanks for all of the replies, ended up in a subscription review worm hole and got a guitar magazine subscription and Ready Player 2 for DS 15 as he hardly reads but has read RP1 on repeat and loves his guitar. For DD11 I have ordered the first Artful subscription box for £30 and an Among Us hoodie, as she mentioned Among Us merch yesterday - phew new idea! For little DD5 I just chatted to her about Santa and she mentioned she wanted a ferris wheel so got her a building kit that has one in and a basketball hoop for the back of her door as Santa was apparently bringing both!
