Thanks @GoblinDaughter for the title

It’s nearly December, Father Christmas is busy putting the final touches to his toys on the workshop and we are busy elves preparing for a somewhat different Christmas this year.

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.

Anyone looking for a small gift by post for friends/relatives, I found sponge.co.uk

You can get Christmas cards with sliced cake posted 1 slice is £7.95 or 2 slices for £10. Nice selection of traditional and unusual flavours and excellent reviews on trustpilot. You can add a little cocktail or sweets if you prefer. You can also get 10% off your first order if you sign up to their newsletter.

@Theonlyoneiknow

Has anyone spotted reasonably priced barbie clothes anywhere? I vaguely remember someone saying Poundland stocked them but I might have made that up! TIA :)
Hello! I bought my daughter some barbie clothes & shoes off amazon on Friday, the quality is absolutely fine and a nice little selection too. Here's the link, hope it helps!

Any ideas for a keepsake type present? DS will be 1 at the end of December so it's also his first Christmas. He doesn't really need toys as we have a toddler so kept lots of things!

Finding him really difficult to buy for, got him some clothes and a couple of new toys. I know he won't care or notice but I feel the need!!!

Lolly12 · 01/12/2020 14:26

If anyone sees the Lego Friends water park at a decent price please shout! I dithered when it was available at Costco for £73.99 and cheapest I can see is £81.99 now on Amazon.

Also worrying as dd has so much more than ds (10) who says he doesn’t need anything and ‘Santa can read his mind’ Hmm so any ideas welcome. He’s getting some footy stuff and poss a tv for his bedroom but struggling for other stuff.

Salamander91 · 01/12/2020 14:35

Ebay has 20% off for nectar users with code NECTAR20

Presumably for those who have a nectar card connected to their ebay.

How about some engraved cutlery or a personalised towel/bathrobe? My 1st years do some cute things!

@Puffalicious

Iggy999 I'm in Scotland and ours are shut until the 11th! You're obviously not in tier 4!
I’m in Scotland and ours is fully open.
livingthegoodlife · 01/12/2020 14:53

@Theonlyoneiknow I bought Barbie clothes in Poundland and homebargains in the last few weeks

livingthegoodlife · 01/12/2020 14:54

Lego dots £1.60 a packet in Sainsbury's

I thought this was quite cheap, reduced from £4. Would be a nice stocking filler especially if you've bought other dots sets.

thaegumathteth · 01/12/2020 15:05

@Lolly12 led lights for his room? Dd is 10 and all her friends (boys and girls) have them

Clementine8 · 01/12/2020 15:15

@Howmanysleepsnow that is so lovely thank you. I’ll pm you.

I’ve used sponge that @MrsLeclerc mentioned. The receiver really liked it. There is also a refer a friend scheme if you know someone thats used it before.

BalaamsAss · 01/12/2020 15:28

Ahhh! How did I miss the chat about fire pits in the last thread? I was just coming on to ask for recommendations and saw a post from last night/this morning from @Oldmrswasherwoman thanking @TheLastStarfighter and @buckeejit for their info.

Please, please can you repeat your info for me! I am looking for a decent sized fire pit (family of 6, regularly have more people over (pre-covid obviously) so looking for one which would be big enough to keep 10-12 people warm at least. Needs to not look hideous, and I would also love some info on how to care for them. (Do you stick it in the garage when not in use?!)

Thanks all!!

1stTimeMama · 01/12/2020 15:57

For those that are after Tellestrations, my children got it last year but it's far too old for them. It's totally unused. If anyone would like it, I'd happily send it on.

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 01/12/2020 15:58

Apparently primark are planning to open 24h’s until Xmas. Is anyone needing stuff that badly?

Flukz1988 · 01/12/2020 16:01

Hey, I was just wondering if anyone has a code for paperchase. Thanks :)

buckeejit · 01/12/2020 16:06

@BalaamsAss This is the cheap one I bought dh a couple of year's ago. Ime they're more for atmosphere than really keeping everyone warm.

We use them in conjunction with hot water bottles & blankets but this wee one had about 12 of us around it recently & was good. We have composite decking so needed something easily portable to go on & off the drive. I would buy a bigger pit if I could have one that we didn't need to move-you're NI aren't you? Creative gardens have some lovely ones if there's one nearby. Not bargainous though!

ArabellaPilkington · 01/12/2020 16:25

Sorry if this has already been done but has anyone seen any His Dark Materials merch at all? DD would especially love a Pantailamon.

Lolly12 · 01/12/2020 16:29

@thaegumathteth that’s a great shout, thank you! Will have a look as am sure he’d love them.

XmasLockdown · 01/12/2020 16:35
