please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

@winewolfhowls
The scooters I’ve always bought for my ds have come from the actual skate park shop. The guys in there have always been Incredibly helpful and advised me on what the best for my budget. I’d suggest going somewhere like that.

@strawberryblondebint

Anyone got any good ideas for 23 small class presents. The children are between 6 and 8. I have done gemstones, bubbles bendy pencils in the past. Thinking stationery from Ali express. Any teachers out there. Current interests seem to be roblox and Pokemon.

Still no buns here!! I bought some from Tesco’s but the is packaging isn’t as nice - can’t really give as a gift but I only wanted them for myself anyway Wink

Foggyday124 · 25/10/2020 19:13

Ticket to ride Europe it says 24.99 on the ‘list page’ of amazon, but if you then click on the item the price becomes 18.99, unless this is not the one everyone raves about?

I've been sent an 'exclusive' 20% off at Disney code. No idea if it works, but PM me if you want to try it!

myhobbyisouting · 25/10/2020 19:16

@Foggyday124 thank you! I missed it at £13 a while back but £18 I'll go with Grin

Bought! Thanks

Foggyday124 · 25/10/2020 19:20

Glad it helps! I’ve never seen a difference in price like this on amazon!

buckeejit · 25/10/2020 19:24

Thanks - just bought ticket to ride also-was trying to decide if it would be suitable at £25 so happy at £18.49 & had a £5 voucher for amazon & their shit service so palatable!

Bananasplease · 25/10/2020 19:51

Is anywhere doing good deals on mini micro scooters? I want to get the 3 in 1 deluxe set but loathed to pay full price. Is it worth hanging on till black Friday or is anywhere doing good deals at the moment?

1122christy · 25/10/2020 19:54

@Foggyday124 thanks for the ticket to ride. Iv been meaning to get this but always miss it when it goes down.

dawnky1983 · 25/10/2020 19:54

Long-time lurker here, a huge thanks to you all for being so good at spotting bargains as I am completely awful at it! I have a question if anyone can help me-we're looking to get a Chromebook for DD for her main gift this year and wondering if Black Friday/Cyber Monday would be our best bet and where would be the best places to look? Smile

Bananasplease · 25/10/2020 20:01

Oh and thanks for the ticket to ride tip off!

Miathecat · 25/10/2020 20:01

Another long term lurker who has benefited hugely from these threads over the years, just been emailed 20% off Disney code

Has anyone ordered a blanket with photos on? We probably won't see mum at Christmas and she'll be alone and it's breaking my heart. I thought a blanket with photos of the grandkids on might be good. She can't see that well so the big photos might be ideal.

lazzaroo · 25/10/2020 20:10

Thank you all for suggestions on how to save on the lego set. But especially to the idea of looking at the German amazon site. Its just saved my mum a massive £25 off retail price. I'm hoping it works okay, it was very easy to navigate the site but I do get a bit nervous when something seems too good to be true!!

CoffeeAndEnnui · 25/10/2020 20:17

@girlsyearapart, I bought the cinnamon buns when they were first posted to the site and decided, on a whim, to do fortnightly subscribe and save deliveries instead of a one-off so I could stash a few kits for the Christmas season.

We have never had a single delivery, I always get a last-minute email saying they're still trying to find stock to fulfil the order. Think it has happened five or six times so far. Really annoying because I could have just bought the things and been done. Curse those buns!

Ewock · 25/10/2020 20:20

Can I ask ia Ticket to ride good? And is the Europe one the best to get? Sorry for questions there just seem so many different versions if the game.

sorryiasked · 25/10/2020 20:29

@ewock yes v good and Europe edition best base game

NeedMoreTea · 25/10/2020 20:45

Thanks for the Ticket to Ride post, I've had my eye on that for ages. My Xmas present from DH (he doesn't know that yet though 😁).

SparklingDinosaurs · 25/10/2020 20:45
@SparklingDinosaurs , look at amazon Germany , especially the Bayer brand and Knorr brands , they are really well made , loads of colours and designs, fold flat and put our dolls prams to shame .
Thanks @butmumineedit. So much choice. I recognise a few of the Bayer ones form uk amazon but not where near the choice level.

Never ordered from German amazon or any other one. Can anyone let me know how it works in terms of import duties Etc etc

girlsyearapart · 25/10/2020 20:46

@CoffeeAndEnnui the failure to arrive of the buns may well tip me over the covid edge 🙁

Lellyo · 25/10/2020 20:46

Thank you so much for the Ticket TonRide tip off

butmumineedit · 25/10/2020 20:48

@SparklingDinosaurs , it's very easy to order from amazon Germany , no taxes to pay and shipping charges are no more than Uk, amazon prime used to work on the German site but don't know if it still does .

ClosedAuraOpenMind · 25/10/2020 20:50

I've given photo blankets from snapfish and been pleased with them. there's different designs so can get some with bigger pics on them - and I think some just have one big pic. there's usually a 50% off code at some point, just not at the moment sadly
Sunshineskies · 25/10/2020 20:54

Thanks for ticket to ride. Never knew I wanted it but couldn’t resist after reading the amazon reviews. We do love a good board game.
