please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

@girlsyearapart

I ordered buns at 430 this morning and did it on subscribe and save so in theory get them each month for £3ish? Handy since DH got positive covid results this morning and I have to entertain the kids for 14 days 😳
I did that in September and they keep cancelling my subscribe and save as out of stock. Not managed on set on subscribe and save yet so I'd try and get as a standard delivery order. I've got 2 that way but still hoping for a third on subscribe and save

UNIQWEN Hoodie Blanket, Oversized Sherpa Sweatshirt, Super Soft Warm Wearable Blanket, Comfortable Giant Hoody Front Giant Pocket, One Size Fits All - Adults Kids Men Women (Navy)

Can link as shows my detail. I got this one in Navy. It's a bit thin but it's fine for £11

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 25/10/2020 17:29

Does anyone have a discount code for sports direct? Spending £52 so not enough for the instore voucher! Postage is so high!

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/10/2020 17:30

Stunt scooters crisp, gritt or mpg are all good makes. Skates or skatehut are both reputable sites to get advice and buy from

@justyou heres the real techniques sets www.boots.com/sitesearch?searchTerm=Star gifts real techniques

ClosedAuraOpenMind · 25/10/2020 17:34

@lazzaroo

Is there a current IWOOT or Smyths code around? I'm shopping for my mum and she wants to get some lego but the set seems so expensive I'd love to get the price down for her if I can.
XMAS20 apparently takes 20% off at IWOOT - valid till October 27

@nocutsnobuttsnococonuts, that link brings up 441 results!

Puffalicious · 25/10/2020 17:40

That's a great tip purplehairedgirl I'll look on the warehouse section as that's a great deal. I'm very, very wary of lots of sites which will provide grey goods so they won't have the UK warranty- there's a good, few offering around the £85 mark but I reckon they're grey goods. Cheapest I've seen is £120 which is better than the £160 from Samsumg/ JLewis etc.

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 25/10/2020 17:44

Sorry @nowordforfluffy I'm no good at links 🙈 if you type 'star gifts real techniques' it just brings up the 2 on offer 😄

1122christy · 25/10/2020 17:44

@Puffalicious small world that aldi is my local. Managed to get some things for my great niece

If you go to brand and click on real techniques on that same page it’ll bring up 2 options

Puffalicious · 25/10/2020 17:52

Small world indeed 1122christy the new store is miles better. Glad you got some things.

Elphaba17 · 25/10/2020 17:57

I may be wrong, but I was under the impression that Amazon subscribe and save doesn't lock in the price - so you pay each month whatever the current selling price is when your subscription is ready to renew?

SparklingDinosaurs · 25/10/2020 17:57

Does anyone have any recommendations for a doll’s pram for just turned 4 year old whose quite tall. I’d like something to last but nothing that is difficult for her to manoeuvre right now. Also if it can fold or store smaller than would be good.

My aldi also had loads of wooden items left. It honestly looked like mid afternoon of their Thursday release rather than the Sunday after!! I think with them offering online now people aren’t rushing to go in and buy maybe.

noodledoodler · 25/10/2020 17:58

Was someone looking an IWOOT code? XMAS20 for 20%, think its for xmas stock, sorry if I am duplicating.

Elphaba17 · 25/10/2020 17:59

This play doh set at Argos is reduced to £10. Seems good value and I like how the tub doubles as a handy storage container.

@Ruralretreating, @Ck91 and @eitak22 thank you for the suggestions - we found one and it's lovely! Bought from NOTHS as had 15% off and I found a few other bits and pieces.

noodledoodler · 25/10/2020 18:04

EMP £20 off £80 spend code SAVE

girlsyearapart · 25/10/2020 18:08

@ZIGGY911 and @Elphaba17
It claims to be arriving in the morning and it says the once price is £8 something and the subscribe price £3 something...

butmumineedit · 25/10/2020 18:10

@SparklingDinosaurs , look at amazon Germany , especially the Bayer brand and Knorr brands , they are really well made , loads of colours and designs, fold flat and put our dolls prams to shame .

strawberryblondebint · 25/10/2020 18:22

Anyone got any good ideas for 23 small class presents. The children are between 6 and 8. I have done gemstones, bubbles bendy pencils in the past.
Thinking stationery from Ali express. Any teachers out there.
Current interests seem to be roblox and Pokemon.
