please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Can anyone link me to
The best place to get an oversized hoody like an oodie but cheaper? Something for a ten year old. I think adult ones would fit if it has cuffs...any ideas?

Thanks @Emma10702 Dad’s birthday present sorted for next month

Puffalicious · 24/10/2020 19:59

Arthien Runfrom I ordered one from Groupon. It's £13 + p&p of £3.99. It's okay, feels nice, but quite thin. It's for a teen, so will be fine. I buckled and ordered myself and DC Oodies but they're too pricey for other people's presents!

There are others on Amazon a few threads back for £10ish so I reckon they'll be much the same as the one I have, worth a punt.

Puffalicious · 24/10/2020 20:02

PP looking for stationery TK Maxx had gorgeous leather bound notebooks and posh pens and pencils today.

I also picked up the bargainous Ulster Weavers oven gloves and tea towels mentioned by PP last thread- £10 for both instead of £26. My next door neighbour will.be delighted as she's just living through a nightmare extension!

mum2jakie · 24/10/2020 20:04

Behind the Scenes Cursed Child (Harry Potter) book. £9.99 including free delivery so cheaper than Amazon:

Does anyone have a recommendation for a rechargeable hair dryer (or one that will work in a cigarette lighter), it's for MIL as her gym no longer allows the use of a hairdryer, so she is hoping to use one in her car! Budget is ideally £30-£40 max. TIA

thaegumathteth · 24/10/2020 20:13

The bakedin rainbow cake set is really nice. I got it with the £10 small business Amazon voucher and it's impressive looking!

Lovemusic33 · 24/10/2020 20:32

I have had the rainbow cake, it’s a good kit but I can make a better rainbow cake myself. The bakedin sticky toffee cake is pretty good and often on offer on Amazon.

I have to ask. Why does someone going through a nightmare extension need oven gloves and tea towels? Is she fencing with the builders? Fire fighting?
girlsyearapart · 24/10/2020 20:42

@Arthien I got three different colour ‘oodies’ for £38 last night off Amazon as mil is getting them for my
@Ewock are you sure re notelets at the works ? I got from there fairly recently

sorryiasked · 24/10/2020 20:45

Someone was asking for FIFA21 this morning? Cdkeys have it on daily deals but I haven't compared prices.

thaegumathteth · 24/10/2020 20:50

@Lovemusic33 no doubt but it's for dd (10) to do herself so just thought it'd be easier

CocoLoco87 · 24/10/2020 20:53

DS wants playmobil galaxy police truck, I haven't seen it cheaper than £60! Any tips on where to get a discount code would be gratefully received!

It’s a good kit, have also done the build your own cake kit too (with dd).

CovidClara Grin I should have explained that it's a kitchen extension! It's almost finished so I bought her new bits to match the new kitchen. Not for Xmas, just because she's an amazing neighbour.

ProperVexed · 24/10/2020 21:14

@Ewock Try Whistlefish for note let's. They do a number of lovely tins with pretty notelets and often with fabulous offers. I'll see if I can find a referral code for you.

NoWordForFluffy · 24/10/2020 21:22

@CocoLoco87, Uber Kids has it for just under £57.00. There is cash back on TCB too of just under 10%.

Lockdownlumpy · 24/10/2020 21:30

Paperchase had nice notelets last week, but I wasn't looking at prices so no idea if bargainous or not.

Lockdownlumpy · 24/10/2020 21:31

I just told OH that I might by myself a heated gilet. He looked at me like

lexloofah · 24/10/2020 21:36

Dreamingofwaldenand nowordsforfluffy thanks for the shower radio recommendation and link, it has a great retro look and I love the colour

Do you have it actually in the shower? DS has one of those phone box sized showers with a glass door so it would get quite splashed I think unless we put it by the sink but then he would probably forget to put it on or wouldn't be able to hear it, ta @

CocoLoco87 · 24/10/2020 21:41

Thank you @NoWordForFluffy I will have a look into that

Avoca76 · 24/10/2020 21:46

Can anyone recommend an art set for a 5 year old? She wants one which opens out but has seen one with glitter gel pens and wants more of these type of pens rather than crayons etc.

All the ones I have found are more “serious” looking.

The4ks · 24/10/2020 21:50

Some lovely beauty gifts on feel unique at good prices.

Just bought a few things so now have a 20% off code if it's any use to anyone.

MeanMrMustardSeed · 24/10/2020 22:10

Got something at last!

Hardback copy of A Christmas Carol for £1.99 on Amazon. Am thinking it’d be a lovely addition to any advent gift for older child or adult. Says it’s RRP is over £10.
