please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets

Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

I know the thread as moved on a bit since talk of buns but I've got the kit to give to the DC either in the 1st December box or as a 'treat' from the elf for an activity for them to do. Makes it easier for them to do it, having it all in the kit.

teaorwine · 25/10/2020 07:53

@evilherbivore, your personal details are in the screenshot above.

@EvilHerbivore
I’ve reported your post so HQ can remove it - it has identifying details in it.

mum2jakie · 25/10/2020 08:11

@ButtonMoonLoon that tea makers site has some beautiful items in - thanks for sharing! Think that will be the in laws sorted.

Ewock · 25/10/2020 08:13

Thanks everyone I hadn't even thought of national Trust for notecards.

I bought the uniqwen fake oodie on amazon. It is usually around 11 or 12 pounds. Ive been wearing for the last couple of weeks whilst sat at my desk working with out the heating on and it's toasty warm. Some of the stitching is slightly rough but it looks like I paid way more than a tenner for it. It has cuffed sleeves. I've ordered another for my short 12 yr old. The only downside is it stops just above my knees so they get a bit chilly. I'm 5ft6.

ritzbiscuits · 25/10/2020 08:40

This paper plane set has been a birthday hit with my DS age 7. Hours of fun and would be an excellent smaller Xmas present.

This is the John Lewis link but also available on Amazon/eBay.

SayNoToCarrots · 25/10/2020 08:43

@MeanMrMustardSeed can you let us know the quality when you get it? The reviews seem to be for all different versions!

lolarabbit · 25/10/2020 08:46

@makingmiracles
Hamper ideas: jars of olives/tapenade, anchovies/gentleman's relish, pickles. Flavoured nuts. Mini panettone or other small 'longlife' cake. Nice teas, coffee or hot chocolate. Depends on what they like but the one for my adult DD mainly contains chilli sauces!

eitak22 · 25/10/2020 08:53

Who ever wanted notelets. My local works still had them so may be worth popping in, otherwise I've picked up lovely ones in the past from TK Maxx including cupcake ones with recipes on the back which is cool.

I've found a cinnamon bun kit in home bargains for 1.50 not made yet so will come back and review once I have.

TheRealMrsJamieFraser · 25/10/2020 08:55

Has anyone spotted a wedding planner/idea type book? Dd1 has just booked their venue so was hoping to get her this. Not fussed if it's bargainous if it's gorgeous!

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/10/2020 08:57

Search in vain. Does anyone have an adidas site code please. Dh needs new trainers, I need to not pay full price

winewolfhowls · 25/10/2020 08:57

Does anyone have a child that actually does ramps and skate parks with their scooter and can recommend one for that purpose, I bought one last year that was called a stunt scooter from a reputable website but the scooter when came said not suitable for park riding. Its for age 8. Thanks.

Paperchase have had them in the past, a friend got one for me.
lotusbell · 25/10/2020 09:03

For anyone with kids who like sportswear, sign.up with Adidas and Nike. Both do free delivery for members, both have outlets and constant offers and with Adidas, they invite you to review recent orders and give you a 25% off code - think it only works on full price items but is often worth it. Both often have 20, 25 or 30% discounts.

Carrie76 · 25/10/2020 09:19

@lifelongfrugaleer I’ve pm’d you a code

woodwaj · 25/10/2020 09:32

I think im going to have to post more presents this year but I've got a large present for one can anyone recommend a courier that would work out better than just sending via the post office? I've never used one before and don't know where to start!

1stTimeMama · 25/10/2020 09:37

@TheLastStarfighter thanks, I'll keep an eye out. She didn't ask for it for her birthday a couple of weeks ago as she knows how much it is, so said she would ask Father Christmas instead, as he doesn't have to pay for things! This will probably be her last year of believing in Father Christmas, so I'd like to got out with a bang.
