please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue
@Ewock Try Whistlefish for note let's. They do a number of lovely tins with pretty notelets and often with fabulous offers. I'll see if I can find a referral code for you.
Thanks I haven't heard of that site I'll take a look.

TheCrow · 24/10/2020 22:21

@avoca76 b&m had a pink glittery wooden art case last time I was in, I didn't look to see what was in it but it was near the 'older' crafty kits so might be a bit more grown up in content than the kids ones. It was £8 and I can't find it on the website

Dreamingofwalden · 24/10/2020 22:24

@lexloofah

Dreamingofwaldenand nowordsforfluffy thanks for the shower radio recommendation and link, it has a great retro look and I love the colour

Do you have it actually in the shower? DS has one of those phone box sized showers with a glass door so it would get quite splashed I think unless we put it by the sink but then he would probably forget to put it on or wouldn't be able to hear it, ta @

I have it by the sink as I am terribly clumsy and always knock things off in the shower. I like to listen to R4 as well as music channels and can hear it from the shower. Grin
Hophop26 · 24/10/2020 22:25

@Avoca76 we have glittery craft caddies and then I filled with different pens and arty bits, hobbycraft have them in several colours and a good size, have also fared well with small children!

Thank you for the book @MeanMrMustardSeed! Perfect for my DC x

Lemming20 · 24/10/2020 22:57

TheCrow · 24/10/2020 23:06

@Givealittlebit do you know what geeky interests your brother has?

Carrie76 · 24/10/2020 23:09

@Avoca76 I got this one for my 5 yr old last Christmas it gets a lot of use crayola no glitter pens in it tho. I also gave her a unicorn box filled with other art bits, glitter, googly eyes, glitter pens etc

makingmiracles · 24/10/2020 23:19

I clicked on a banner on amazon app to get an amazon MasterCard for free £30 amazon voucher, i received the card and this eve got round to activating it, £30 amazon gift card straight away in my amazon account, no delay, have paid with that card and will pay off straight away with debit card when it shows on app and change my default card back to my debit card.

very pleased as my electric toothbrush is fairly old and dp doesn’t have one and so i was looking at the oral B toothbrush twin pack which is £69.99 on amazon at the moment and £70-200 everywhere else so I’ve just picked that up for £39.99 instead Grin Early bday gifts to ourselves!

Ideas please for hamper-i do one for godparents every yr but have cheated last 2 yrs and bought but this yr I’m making,
so far i have
border biscuits,
moser Roth Chocs,
2 boxes of fancy crackers for cheese,
Mini selection of jams

Am getting chutney from farm shop when i go and a nice wine but any other ideas on other things to go in it as I’m a bit rusty due to my 2 yrs of laziness!!?

Chrysanthemum5 · 24/10/2020 23:20

@Ewock whistle fish have some great notelets at reasonable prices

TheGriffle · 24/10/2020 23:39

I got my fab hooded blanket/fake Oodie from here

It’s lovely and thick and soft. I’m a size 20 and 5’4” and it comes down to my knees and could prob fit 2 of me in it! The wrists are cuffed as well. I have to take it off for a while as I overhear in it, I got it for working from home in so I don’t have to turn the heating on.

They also do kids ones too but I obviously don’t know what they’re like.

AndAnotherSoup · 24/10/2020 23:40

For @GazingAndGrazing and anyone else interested in good quality notebooks.*

Papier produce beautiful personalised notebooks - both paperback and hardback. They're not cheap but they are good value when using a referral code. You receive £10 off your first order (and I also receive £10 credit). I will add my code/link to the referral thread* if anyone is interested.

AndAnotherSoup · 24/10/2020 23:45

For the PP asking about notelets/writing paper, Papier also produce personalised notelets. Again, not the cheapest but excellent quality (and better value using the code on the Christmas bargain referral thread).

Am thinking about getting MIL some of those teas that 'bloom' into flowers when put in water - does anyone have a recommendation for a particular brand/flavour?

I’ve had these before, and some from Chah that my sister in law bought me along with a clear glass teapot!

Was very happy with them all.
I’ve also had silver needles flowering jasmine tea that I liked

CoffeeAndEnnui · 25/10/2020 01:26

@MeanMrMustardSeed, thank you so much for the hardback A Christmas Carol bargain. They'll be so lovely in adult Christmas stockings, without blowing my budget, I'm thrilled!

Toomanycats99 · 25/10/2020 06:25

@RunFromMyScytheAndMyMerkin following a recommendation on a previous post I ordered the 'Sienna' one. It now seem to out of stock in all colours except navy and black. (Unless you pay inflated price) There are some that come up when you type sienna but have diff photos so I don't think are. I need a second one which I really wanted pink so I will wait for the first one to come and see what quality is like. Looks like they were in a daily mail aryicle earlier this month so hopefully that's caused a spike and stock will be back in soon.

Spam88 · 25/10/2020 06:38

Free A4 calendar from photo box with code FREEA4CAL. I assume you need to pay postage.

WhereTheresAHill · 25/10/2020 06:47

2 for £7 on selected paperbacks on Amazon

Not sure if there is an easy way to filter these, I searched 2 for 7 children’s paperbacks. A book I was going to buy anyway was £6.42 so got another for 58p Smile

Dolphintrainer · 25/10/2020 06:51

@Toomanycats99 I ordered the Sienna a month or so ago in grey and I have to say it’s pretty rubbish quality and not very puffy at all. I personally wouldn’t recommend.

Twilightstarbright · 25/10/2020 06:53

@Ewock these are nice
