please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

@Lockdownlumpy have you tried Asda?
They have these listed on their website, but I have noticed before that the dinner sets are quite often available as single pieces in store.

@fourquenelles

Hello again my lovelies! I am back with a question about the Hearst magazine subscriptions and don't know if its been raised or if anyone has had the same issue.

I took out a 6 month sub for me and another for my sister as she has been a star with our age Ps. I received the free mug but my sister didn't.

Hearst customer services are saying that only the person who took out the subscription gets the mug. I quote from their email to me:

"It is always that the free gift will be sent to the person who purchased the subscription. You will be the one to send it to the recipient"
.
I am arguing that, using this logic, I should get 2 mugs as I took out 2 subscriptions if one isn't being sent to my sister. I only received one.

Beginning to hit my head against a brick wall here. Am I wrong?

Three emails later and they have agreed to send a second mug by registered mail. Huzzah! That was a lot of unnecessary effort.

Can anyone remember if Apple did any offers in iPads last year for Black Friday? I want to buy a ipad for dd1 but they cost so much, not sure wether to buy a refurb or wether to wait and see if they are reduced for Black Friday.

ButtonMoonLoon · 28/10/2020 15:37

I bought my daughter an iPad last year- I got 2% cash back and a three year warranty by purchasing through John Lewis.ive just checked and they’re only offering 1% cash back and a 2 year warranty at the moment but they may increase their offers closer to Lack Friday

Dolphintrainer · 28/10/2020 15:37

@Eddmr thanks for the Tarte pointer. I’m on it.....

ButtonMoonLoon · 28/10/2020 15:38

Oops, I meant Black Friday, though actually Lack Friday has been more appropriate some years! Grin

Spam88 · 28/10/2020 15:41

@Someaddedsugar I got the subpatroller for £20 and some boats with Marshall and chase for £11 for Tesco. I think their sale is on until 8th November but don't quote me on that.

The Paw Patrol busy book is also very popular with my 3yo. She'll play with it for hours!

Lockdownlumpy · 28/10/2020 15:47

Thank you but I think they are white. She is very insistent that said bowl must be pink. Angry

uniqlo · 28/10/2020 15:48
@BigBadBox Thanks for the bargain subscription link.

Were there any other mags that had such a good deal - I found other deals on the site for £3 for 3 or 5 for £5 but none as good as your offer. And when I went back to the site and just did a search for H&G it didn’t come up either.

So being very cheeky, any chance of you linking to the other £12 for 12?issues - hoping they are all on a single page!

Many thanks in advance! Halloween Grin
I couldn't see any 12 for £12, but did notice a free £25 Molton Brown gift card with Christmas gift subscriptions. Could be a bargain!

Ewock · 28/10/2020 15:51

@Someaddedsugar

Thanks *@TheCrow and @DinosaurOfFire* - I'll take a look. I think he likes Rubble but hasn't mentioned a particular type. I've just had a look and I think we're just watching the standard version that's included on Netflix. Having said that he also loves dinosaurs so the Dino version would no doubt be a bonus!
Morrisons had the figures and vehicles for £7.50 last week down from £15. I picked up 2 of the Dino ones. Also Smyths had the Dino HQ with £10 off still £40 so might be more than you were thinking of.
VeraVioletVinn · 28/10/2020 16:04

@Lockdownlumpy there is one here for £7.99 plus £3.98 delivery; which is probably more than I would pay for a china bowl but depends on your definition of extortionate I guess!

Allhallowseve · 28/10/2020 16:22

Just snapped up a Spode xmas tree dish my first piece of Spode thanks pp!

BigBadBox · 28/10/2020 16:24

If you click sale offers on the menu on the right you get all the different offers

Didyeaye · 28/10/2020 16:25

@Someaddedsugar is this any good?

Thread 15 - the one where everyone must have the buns by now?!
Someaddedsugar · 28/10/2020 16:29

Thanks @Spam88 @Ewock and @Didyeaye - I'll have a look through all and see what there is! The Busy Book sounds like a good idea.

I'm going to Morrison's and Tesco on Friday so will have a look at the bargains in both. I always forget supermarkets sell toys as I'm usually so focused on not forgetting what's on my list (that I've usually left in the house Grin)

Is that really £120 RRP @Didyeaye!

Shutitwierdo · 28/10/2020 16:39

One of my Oodies has arrived. So I now have 1 fake one (wearing it daily) and a real one I'm trying to resist opening just to see the difference. It was due to be sent 5th November but arrived today.

Inastatus · 28/10/2020 16:45

@Shutitwierdo - oh please open it! I’d love to know how the real and fake ones compare and if the real ones are worth it?

Courtney555 · 28/10/2020 16:50

Can anyone suggest some bargainous (very oversized) headbands with bows, for a 1yr old?

Lurleene · 28/10/2020 16:50

Just had an email you can Double Up your nectar points online as of today. Spend instore 11th-17th Nov.

recklessgran · 28/10/2020 16:52

@siddalee thank you for the Spode headsup. Four more pieces bought - thanks! Really have to stop this now. DH will think I'm doing a buffet for the whole village!

Shutitwierdo · 28/10/2020 16:59

@Inastatus yeah I couldn't resist. My fake one is a huggles hoodie from Amazon £13 it's quite thin and the stitching inside is not the best but it is very soft and large and has a huge lined pocket on the front. After a couple of days the inside fluffed up. The real one is again very soft and large with the lined pocket but it feels better quality. I didn't see any stitching and the hood is a lot larger so it can cover your face. I used the Oodie30 code and definitely think it was worth the £49 I paid for it. I will use the cheaper one for dog walks and the rugby sideline

Inastatus · 28/10/2020 17:02

@Shutitwierdo - thanks for that review and for that code. I’m v tempted by the real ones. 👍
