please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Not Christmassy but Halloween costumes and clothes have all been reduced on Asda George

EvilHerbivore · 25/10/2020 23:43

Ahh I posted before I caught up - sorry for duplicating

myhobbyisouting · 25/10/2020 23:48

Keep up @EvilHerbivore Grin

recklessgran · 25/10/2020 23:48

@SleeptightDaisy I seem to remember people getting the photo glasses cloths from e-bay so might be worth looking there?

EvilHerbivore · 25/10/2020 23:52

@myhobbyisouting my stupid job getting in the way of bargain hunting! Clearly to be properly committed I need to hand my notice in and move house next door to a Flying Tiger! 😁

thaegumathteth · 25/10/2020 23:55

Thanks @ClosedAuraOpenMind I'll take a look and wait for a code.

Ruralretreating · 25/10/2020 23:59

Thank you @LongWinterNights for the science set suggestion which I’ve just bought for a little girl’s birthday, and to @Whydoyouthinkthatthen for the Ticket to Ride game, which train-mad DS1(8) will love. He’s just finished the first two Adventures on trains books by M.G.Leonard, which I recommend for train-loving children around 7+. The first one The Highland Falcon Thief is £3.49 on Amazon* and the second is in the 2 for £7 offer.
Glad you found a nice planner @TheRealMrsJamieFraser.

NeedMoreTea · 26/10/2020 00:04

@SkintSanta Thanks for the Nappy Lady discount.

SkintSanta · 26/10/2020 00:37

@NeedMoreTea no probs, it actually makes the period undies quite cheap

Tommyegansghoul · 26/10/2020 01:29

4minions I would love a Victoria secret code if you have any left please? X

Redwinestillfine · 26/10/2020 01:37

Buns are back! 6 left!

TheCrow · 26/10/2020 01:44

@helssjbells b&m had a gingerbread man shaped one and I've definitely seen them in home bargains, poundshop and Wilkos but I don't have a bath so I didn't look too closely at what type! Sure there was the 3 white ones stacked to look like a snowman somewhere though!

fogginghell · 26/10/2020 01:49

Are the buns the £3.50 baked in ones? ??

wibdib · 26/10/2020 02:04

@SleeptightDaisy I’ve bought the glasses cleaning cloths from eBay for many years now - every year I think I ought to double check the actual people I’ve used - but every year I just search on eBay for something like personalised photo glasses cleaning cloth and there’s only been one or two suppliers and they’ve always been great. I seem to think that the two ads were from the same company just wording the ads differently.

If there’s a choice of sizes it’s worth going for the one that’s a bit bigger as the small really is quite small. If your photo is really vibrant don’t expect it to be quite so bright - the photos are pretty good but because it’s on the funny glasses cleaning cloth fabric it’s just a tiny bit muted compared to what it would be like if you put it next to a good quality print. It’s still tlreally good though and I give them as family gifts quite a lot with updated pictures on, they always go down really well - nobody ever complains about the quality of the picture of the cloth or the picture!

I’ve even given one to ds when he was little and had just started wearing glasses and was very worried about wearing them and having to wear them in school etc. I did him one of a close up of his favourite teddie to live in his glasses case, that really gave him a little boost when he needed one - he knew he could clean his glasses and his teddie would sort of be there to help. So they can be good stocking fillers for young and old!
