please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

recklessgran · 26/10/2020 08:06

Thank you so much @Anydreamwilldo12 - I would be really grateful for the £10 off £50 if you don't need it.

margaritasbythesea · 26/10/2020 08:15

Thanks very much @Anydreamwilldo12 - I have pm'd you too. Need a load of Christmas throws and cushions to make us super cosy as we're all staying home this year. I particularly couldn't resist the grey paw print/bone throws - if DD5 is allowed to visit she'll be bringing her sprocker pup who will be 14 weeks by then. Lovely for a photo I'm thinking....... O.K. I know, I need to start sitting on my hands.

CarrotVan · 26/10/2020 08:35

You know those surprise egg/blind bag type things - is there a generic name and a cheap stockist?

The 3yo has become obsessed with the dreadful Fizzy Toy Show on YouTube and loves the opening of mashems and various other tat. I thought I might get a few for his stocking

Anydreamwilldo12 · 26/10/2020 08:42

Oh how lovely @recklessgran, a gorgeous cuddly little puppy around for Christmas. Fingers crossed your DD manages to get home.

myhobbyisouting · 26/10/2020 08:44

@EightToSixer or anyone else. Are you all still getting the nicely packaged bigger boxes of buns at £3.08?

Or buying those cheaper smaller kits at £3.50, in which case what is the point when you can buy 4 at £9 odd?

Sneezein3s · 26/10/2020 08:46

Oops, forgot link

recklessgran · 26/10/2020 08:52

@Anydreamwilldo12 I know. I've got everything crossed hoping that Boris ups this rule of 6. Wondering which of my 5 DD's I' m supposed to exclude from Christmas dinner. They're all career girls and live and work all over the country but traditionally all come home for Christmas. It's rare throughout the year to be able to get all 5 together due to work/social commitments so we do Christmas to the ridiculous. Anyway, sorry for derailing the thread - better get back to looking for bargains!

TheRosariojewels · 26/10/2020 08:52

Does anyone know of any House of Bruar discount codes? Or if they ever do them.

Shrillharridan · 26/10/2020 08:53

Sigh.
Need a new laptop.
Any bargains to be had?

mummymilkfloat · 26/10/2020 08:56

I love these threads!
It’s like Christmas here this morning, I got the leap frog ice cream cart out for my 2 little ones. I was feeling rubbish about a gloomy lockdown half term here in Wales when we’re supposed to be on holiday (all first world problems I know) anyway they love it!

After some advice:
I have got my SIL in our family secret Santa, she is mid 30s, likes baking but doesn’t have much time on her hands, very busy/successful at work, has a toddler, likes to have the nice versions of things if that makes sense. Would like to get her something good, any tips from you helpful lot? £20 budget.
I did think about something matching for her and her little one, rolling pins or something? But not sure they’re her kind of thing.
Thank you!!

ShoppingBasket · 26/10/2020 08:57

@dawnky1983 I have gotten a laptop for my son from the CEX store. Second hand but It has 2 year guarantee with it. I had been looking at all the usual suspects but the memory was quite poor for anything under 500euro. The one I got is in excellent condition and has really good memory for 270euro. Not sure what UK stores are like but my husband has previously bought two and they were very helpful when there was a problem with one and replaced.
