NEW INFO PLZ READ
**please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Can I be cheeky and ask if anyone has a student discount code I can use for schuh please 🙏

margaritasbythesea · 19/10/2020 11:49

Poor you I'vegotalovelybunch - on the bright side with kids I think often they like the looking forward to more than a surprise. I know my DCs do. I could tell them all their main presents now and they'd accept and quite enjoy tying themselves in knots waiting. T

@Carrie76

Can anyone remember the name of the book people equivalent?
The one I've seen that looks similar is Books2Door but not sure if this is the one you mean.

Can anyone share a link to te Alexa controlled light strips please

myhobbyisouting · 19/10/2020 12:47

I've just bought strip lights for £8 something with a 45% off voucher on amazon. Not Alexa controlled but much cheaper

HulahoopsBBQbeef · 19/10/2020 12:53

Hi I just wondered if anyone knows of any upcoming smyths deals? I know they do money off deals intermittently through the year but not sure whether to risk waiting or to go ahead and buy now.

IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 19/10/2020 12:55

I have a 20% off Disney or free delivery code if anyone wants it - don't think it's linked to my account, and email says it's one or the other so not sure if both codes would work if used by 2 different people?

Must be used today I'm afraid!

FrolickingLemon · 19/10/2020 12:55

myhobbyisouting could you link to the £8 odd strip lights you got from Amazon please. I'm just looking at some for £10 that are waterproof so could go outside, but would like to compare.

woodwaj · 19/10/2020 13:02

bettyskitchen · 19/10/2020 13:06

TheDrsDocMartens · 19/10/2020 13:06

MostIneptThatEverStepped · 19/10/2020 13:17

@woodwaj

You're welcome! 😊
Sounds like a great purchase!

Ehunt1 · 19/10/2020 13:24

@IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts could I please have the Disney free delivery code if it is still available?

bettyskitchen · 19/10/2020 13:24

Any recommendations for Jellycat offers? At the moment thinking of holding out for 20% off John Lewis for Black Friday / the run up to Christmas

woodwaj · 19/10/2020 13:26

@MostIneptThatEverStepped I will update you tomorrow when they arrive and they are toddler sized. Just my luck 🤣

MostIneptThatEverStepped · 19/10/2020 13:28

@woodwaj

🤣🤣🤣

You could always hang them on the tree as decorations...

lexloofah · 19/10/2020 13:32

@DumplingsAndStew I haven't seen free delivery at sports direct, they even charge for click and collect so I never order from them. Next do Adidas stuff

CoffeeAndEnnui · 19/10/2020 13:32

@luckiestgirl, thanks, that's a big help. I love velvet but the recipients I have in mind would like a more cottony texture, I suspect, so this is good. I might even manage to check out without adding anything for myself...

myhobbyisouting · 19/10/2020 13:34

These are £1.50 for a pack of 5
