NEW INFO PLZ READ
**please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Name of link

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

For those of you looking for little things for advent calendars or a stocking filler for little ones how about glow stars to stick on the nursery or bedroom ceiling. The pack can be split for advent calendars.

this sort of thing

Mumto3thatsme · 03/10/2020 16:20

Thankyou for advising about the Amazon/MasterCard credit back. Just wondering if anyone knows where I can see the credit in my account?

zeerecords · 03/10/2020 16:22

For anyone looking for a beer advert calendar but not craft beers, Costco have a beers of the world advent calendar for £36 which seems pretty good to me. In warehouse only though!

Ewock I deleted my saved card (which was actually a mastercard but the live chat person said I wasn't eligible). Then logged out and left it for an hour and suddenly the banner saying I was eligible appeared Wink So I promoted registered a mastercard and got the £10 credit off the whiskey set Smile

TheRosariojewels · 03/10/2020 16:27

Hamleys have 10% off Sitewide with the code MYSUMMER10

They seem to have quite a few Harry Potter bits on offer as well.

TheRosariojewels · 03/10/2020 16:29

@Mumto3thatsme

I didnt check my account balance, but immediately it showed as £10 off when I went to pay for my item.
@1stTimeMama haven't seen them yet this year but we had onesies from sainsburys 2 years ago. They were pj material rather than fluffy ones
Sainsbury's have them again this year.

Beaglemum93 · 03/10/2020 16:46

Next are currently offering £5 credit for ordering through their app.

Have sorted out the cupboard where I have been throwing the parcels as they arrive. DH keeps asking if I am done yet. Foolish man, I am only just getting started after birthday season.

Are there ever discount codes for Illuminated Apparel?

They have free UK Shipping, no minimum value so perhaps shouldn't be greedy, just wanted to check before ordering thnx

sorryiasked · 03/10/2020 17:04

@lexloofah they have an Amazon storefront so you may be able to use the mastercard promotion mentioned upthread

Lovemusic33 · 03/10/2020 17:04

@BigEaredBob

Does anyone know of any deals on Kinetic Sand? I would rather get the official stuff as the reviews on the others are mixed. Thanks
Amazon have a set on offer today for £17 down from £20, not a huge saving but I rarely see it in offer. I buy it a lot for my dd who has lots of sensory issues, she loves it and I find it’s less messy than other brands, she doesn’t really play with the plastic bits that come with it so I often just buy the bags of sand from the entertainer for £5, the scented ones are a big hit.

Haha! I have 3 gifts left to buy but am waiting awhile as my DH has had enough of 'all this junk arriving in the post', his words. To be fair the recycling is overflowing with delivery boxes so I need to give it a rest for a few days.

Having said that, if anyone sees fitbit ace2 straps or Harry Potter Rise of Voldemort and Quidditch sets at a good price I may be swayed Grin

Mumto3thatsme · 03/10/2020 17:06

Thankyou! I placed an order but neither item was over £10 and it’s gone through as 2 separate orders...guess I’ll have to find something else over £10 to order

g1c2d3 · 03/10/2020 17:12

Thank you to the person who posted the code for Penhaligon’s. My order arrived today beautifully boxed.

Fortnum & Mason....yes or no? I’ve never ordered before but given that we won’t be doing many Xmas activities this year I’m wondering if I might treat us to some yummy bits. They seem to have some nice things that I can’t see anywhere else, mainly champagne butter & truffle Mayo. They are on TopCashback too so that softens the blow a bit.

Amazonmulu · 03/10/2020 17:45

Christmas food orders - when do Tesco / Asda / Morrisons start booking Christmas delivery slots?

I've just tried to preorder M&S and found it was beyond my budget... Tried Sainsbury's and the site isn't working, and really don't want to shop for food IRL as Covid cases are rampant where I am 🤦🏻‍♀️ #firstworldproblems

NoWordForFluffy · 03/10/2020 17:47

Do you have any delivery passes, @Amazonmulu? Whether you do or not usually dictates the date you can book your delivery.

Puffalicious · 03/10/2020 17:58

Update to others on the fake oodie front. My Groupon one arrived (£18 delivered) and it's very soft and lovely and large for wrapping yourself in but pretty thin. It'll be fine for the teen I'm giving it to but very glad I gave in and ordered real oodies (bundle offer so work out at £36 each). Just a warming to others who ordered the £10-£20 Amazon ones they'll be fine but quote thin.

Was in B&M today - fabulous Christmas stuff. DC3 was absolutely captivated by various moving, singing snow globes. Some great gift sets and Christmas homewear.

FireflyGirl · 03/10/2020 18:04

@Amazonmulu, following NoWordForFluffy's post, last year Morrisons opened their Christmas delivery slots to pass holders on 6 November, and non-pass holders on 27th November, Tesco opened theirs 3 days early for pass holders (27th as opposed to 30th), and Asda 5 days earlier (13th as opposed to 18th).

Sainsbury's opened theirs 3 weeks in advance to everyone at the same time, I think, so were the last to open them.

Jacopone · 03/10/2020 18:04

Emma
Definitely yes for Fortnum&Mason. Great range of superb teas, coffees, sweets, condiments. I’m tea mad and they have really good, often unique teas. You can order with a beautifully printed personalised message. Highly recommend.
