NEW INFO PLZ READ
**please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Kraken Rum is now £19.99 on Amazon for a 70cl bottle. Normally about £24 in the supermarkets.

doublemix · 07/10/2020 13:38

@mummymilkfloat brilliant thank you I'll nip and see if they have one after school run

@Sunshineskies

Just another shout to see if anyone has any ideas for my aunt whose birthday is Friday? She’s had a rubbish year and I’d like to treat her. Although with a budget of only £20 it’s a a bit difficult. Had ordered Penhaligons perfume and it got cancelled. A lovely poster gaviscinismyfriend suggested The molton brown handcream on qvc but it was sold out. Any other ideas much appreciated. She’s in her 80s. Nice slippers or scarf could be something she’d like. She loves beauty and perfume but she’s into her brands so a lot of it is out of my price range. She used to travel a lot and was very active but has been poorly recently and bed bound. Maybe something to help with the boredom.. although I know she’s got her tablet for games and films etc. Not too fussed about the item being there for Friday now, would just like her to have something. Hoping you bargain hunters can help!
What about a map she can scratch off all the places she’s visited?
@TheSeedsOfADream is that the one from amazon? Isn't the toilet roll meant to be the last 0 in 2020?
Oh, yes, so I have no first 2, or rather it's broken in transit. I just found the other bit of the 2. Will glue it back on. Grin
I was a bit concerned as I ordered a lovely wooden "scene" decoration last week from Lithuania which is where this has come from, so when I saw the tiny bag I thought I'd been had!

AlbertCampion · 07/10/2020 13:45

If anyone need to buy presents for pets or their owners, the code YAPPY218 gives 10% off at yappy.com. I've just ordered a personalised treats tin and it arrived swiftly and is lovely!

ItWasTheBestOfTimes · 07/10/2020 13:59

Just a heads up for anyone who added the Baileys in their online order with Tesco, I was charged full price for mine (1L coffee and 1L orange truffle) instead of £12. Customer services we’re really good and refunded the difference but it may be worth checking your receipts.

Has anyone got any suggestions for Xmas dinner wear?

Not looking for anything too expensive, would like Santa/ snowmen type to please the kids.

Emiliemoo · 07/10/2020 14:25

Thanks to all the people who recommended kukubirds. It's not my normal style but bought some in the 2 for £5 offer to wear round the house. They came today and I've had tears from DD that they re not hers. Can anyone recommend similar for toddlers?

Thank you

Grrrpredictivetex · 07/10/2020 14:25

@ClaraLane I saw these in Lakeland yesterday and thought how useful they where.

Typo have 25/ off sitewide for a limited time with some exclusions, (it adds in a very imprecise and boring manner).

Anyone else had it with 'up to 70/ off' sales? It usually means two things you'd never buy have 70/ off and all the rest an unexciting 20/. .... 'Up to' is a right turn off for me now. Or do I spend too much time bargaineering?

Just a wee last check before I buy! Does anyone know if the loungepug beanbag chair is a good buy for a 14 year old (6 ft tall) DS and is £70 a good price (on Big Bertha site). Scared to buy something that’s not recommended on here!

Reastie · 07/10/2020 15:17

Sorry peeps, injured myself this morning and nearly hospital visit required 🙈. Hopefully do new thread when back from school run but if it runs out do set one up

Try eBay. They'll probably be sent from China but you can get some weird and wonderful toddler leggings and all in ones there
4Minions2CallMyOwn · 07/10/2020 15:47

Just a quick one, beauty calendars are half price at Superdrug’s atm Smile

FireflyGirl · 07/10/2020 16:02

@Cloud1921 B&M and Home Bargains do some lovely Christmas tableware, if you have one nearby? They've got it in store now.

In their sale, Lisa Angel have personalised travel flasks with an inbuilt coffee press. This is the cheapest I could see for this type of flask, even without personalisation. I've ordered to go with the coffee set posted previously.

KavvLar · 07/10/2020 16:04

@myhobbyisouting I have had that exact Lisa Angel sale situation before, and I emailed them - they were brilliant and refunded the difference without question. Great customer service and it paid off because I have told everyone I know about it!
