Thread 10 - the one where everyone starts writing the bargain info *in bold*

999 replies

Reastie · 03/10/2020 12:04

NEW INFO PLZ READ
**please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets

Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

@Jacopone thank you. We don’t have a store nearby so I’ll have to order online. I might have a look at the teas for my mum & condiments for step dad...will go nicely with his Penhaligons. I can sense a British theme with his gift this year!

NerosFiddle · 03/10/2020 18:11

I think some mentioned pact coffee on the last thread. It's 50% cash back if you are with Santander.

Amazonmulu · 03/10/2020 18:12

@NoWordForFluffy

Do you have any delivery passes, *@Amazonmulu*? Whether you do or not usually dictates the date you can book your delivery.
Ahhh ok! I do have a delivery pass with Morrisons!
Amazonmulu · 03/10/2020 18:14
@Amazonmulu, following NoWordForFluffy's post, last year Morrisons opened their Christmas delivery slots to pass holders on 6 November, and non-pass holders on 27th November, Tesco opened theirs 3 days early for pass holders (27th as opposed to 30th), and Asda 5 days earlier (13th as opposed to 18th).

Sainsbury's opened theirs 3 weeks in advance to everyone at the same time, I think, so were the last to open them.
That's really useful!! Thanks so much!!

dementedma · 03/10/2020 18:15

I got the Amazon £10 offer thanks to this thread and now have a big box of Green & Blacks winging my way for 79p

UselessInDisguise · 03/10/2020 18:21

I also complained to amazon and got my £10 credit after all wahoo!

Kracken · 03/10/2020 18:47

@FrolickingLemon

There is £5 off the Flavourly berr advent calendar if you pre order. £39.99 with free postage
Thank you so much! I have been looking for a beer advent calendar for DP but didn't want to spend more than £40 so this is perfect.
thaegumathteth · 03/10/2020 19:09

StarDanced · 03/10/2020 19:10

Good for the teens and young adults in your life!

nightcap · 03/10/2020 19:12

Was in the works and they have some of their wooden advent calendars on two for £20, usually £15 each - the drawers are a decent size and they can be painted as a Christmas craft with kids (or without!)

Courtney555 · 03/10/2020 19:15

Fortnum and Mason loose leaf Wedding Breakfast tea is absolutely fantastic. The rest are good, but that one is superb.

Whattodowithaminute · 03/10/2020 19:26

@eitak22 I noticed magformers on brandalley today-worth a look? There are referral codes floating about or new account codes if you spend £60 I think

TheDrsDocMartens · 03/10/2020 19:27

bookish83 · 03/10/2020 19:38

@1stTimeMama

HomeBargains have some Penguin onsies in. Not strictly christmas but wintery! Unsure of what the smallest size was though

Purpleheadgirl · 03/10/2020 19:41

Please could someone paste a working link to thread 8 please? Nothing I find will let me open it and there's bound to be just the thing I need on there :)

Nearlyadoctor · 03/10/2020 19:42

@FrolickingLemon - thank you for the advent calendar bargain as pp have ordered one for DH, previously have spent a lot more so this is fab.

Also thank you to whoever posted re the Chivas Whisky blending set part of DF present also sorted.

angstyalways · 03/10/2020 19:44

@Purpleheadgirl thread 8

LadyCatStark · 03/10/2020 19:48

I got the Amazon MasterCard deal the other day when it was only £5 credit. I asked on the Amazon chat and they gave me another £5 no problem. I couldn’t find much that it worked on though as the item needs to be sold and fulfilled by Amazon but I did get an 850g Dairy Milk bar for free for DS.

PatchworkElmer · 03/10/2020 19:50

Fiorelli are doing 20% off selected sale lines with code EXTRA. Shipping is free over £30

 • That said, I went on to order purse for a friend- and when I checked, it’s the same price on their Amazon store (after 20% discount). And I’d get free shipping anyway because I have Prime. So- if you’re spending under £30 I’d probably check Amazon first. I ended up spending over £30 so went with Fiorelli’s web page.

Regardless, that purse is a really good price IMO!

purplepandas · 03/10/2020 19:55

Our local Tesco had a lot of reduced stocking fillers like a pack of gem topped pencils (75p) and pack of colourful striped BIC pencils (50p). Also picked up two pack of glittery tights which said reduced to 3.50 but scanned at 1.00.

purplepandas · 03/10/2020 19:57

Does anyone have any recommendations for v fluffy onesie for 11 yr old DD? Her thin fleece one is too small and not fluffy. Harder to see fluffy capacity online!

Purpleheadgirl · 03/10/2020 19:57

@angstyalways thank you :)

purplepandas · 03/10/2020 19:57

Forgot my please, apologies Blush
