Thanks @allatonce99 for thread title

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets

Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

PinkDaydreams - I have seen lap trats in The Works.

margaritasbythesea · 22/09/2020 22:13

...also trays..doh

TK maxx has some brilliant things at the moment. Lovely dolls houses from both big jigs and tidlo. A lovely wooden pram from le toy van. I have seen Tegu blocks there though not so recently. Worth a trip.

They also have decent slings - lillebaby ones for anyone having a baby. They are £40 and £50 dependent on model (also on their website). A great deal on a decent sling (not too christmassy really).

girlsyearapart · 22/09/2020 22:23

@zeerecords good ideas thanks

Lurleene · 22/09/2020 22:26

If I need to post something non-standard I use this comparison site to find the cheapest post Parcel2Go You can search by country.

Sunshineskies · 22/09/2020 22:27

Thanks for the new thread reastie.
And thank you to who ever posted the google nest/Spotify offer (sorry I can’t remember your name). Mine came today and it’s great! (it was a gift for me Grin).

MaverickDanger · 22/09/2020 22:32

Also need to post to my goddaughter & godson in Singapore - as well as birthday presents and Christmas presents to my niece & nephew in Australia 🙈

Normally go Royal Mail to save the hassle, but keen to take recommendations of anything cheaper.

BeaLola · 22/09/2020 22:35

@WhereTheresAHill glad you found something to assist - I treated myself to that diffuser earlier in year when it came back in stock Smile

TweeBree · 22/09/2020 22:36

Has anyone ever seen a quality wreath-making kit to do at home?

BeaLola · 22/09/2020 22:40

livingthedream I have no idea how you get to be a VIP - my neighbour gets the brochure with the card in it giving her 15% and free o&o and she hardly ever buys their stuff - I do get the £10 voucher at Christmas (fingers crossed for this year too pleaseWink)

peasando · 22/09/2020 22:41

Wow thank you everyone for doll suggestions...these threads are amazing. Have cut and pasted them all and am going to sit and work through them with a coffee in the morning and not accidentally buy them all during a night feed

thelegohooverer · 22/09/2020 22:44

Sometimes it can be cheaper to split into two parcels, as there can be reasonable postage up to a certain size and weight and then the costs go crazy. Depends on different carrier companies but worth checking their pricing.

TheSeedsOfADream · 22/09/2020 22:47

Reastie- the (real) Kawaii pen shop in Japan is finishing off its sale, I picked up some notebooks and fancy paperclip things last weekend. Free postage to Europe over 30€ iirc.

Pretty Little Liars- DD was into this a couple of years ago and eBay, Etsy, TruffkeShuffke, Zavvi etc all had bits and bobs I seem to remember.

I always use Parcels2go, they are fab!

Memo7 · 22/09/2020 22:49

F&F have 25% off all clothing starting from Thursday, handy for any Christmas PJs/ dressing up stuff as that’s included. Also if you do the Tesco big shop I think you may get another 10% off 😊

princessbear80 · 22/09/2020 22:51

@3isthemajicnumber thank you for the alphabet bags code! I had a basket waiting to check out so perfect timing.

Adelais · 22/09/2020 23:06

Was browsing Ebay and came across these jumpers for £1 with free postage! Not sure if they will be any good or even turn up but worth a gamble.

caffeineanddryshampoo · 22/09/2020 23:10

Does anyone know if Moshulu ever does any offers? I need some of their slippers.

ZeldaSmelda · 22/09/2020 23:17

I went to b&m today and got the velvet sacks with initials on, they are really lovely and look way more expensive than £6! They had the sonic gamer monopoly in there, picked it up for DS for £13, it’s £25 everywhere else

guiltynetter · 22/09/2020 23:21

apologies if this has been posted - I don't have enough battery to scroll back more than a few pages!

but 50% off Hype on their website with the code HYPEOFF50 it ends at midnight 🙈 but I managed to get my 2 teenage nieces mini leopard backpacks I know they'll love. only £2.50 delivery too.

abitoflight · 22/09/2020 23:38

Reastie my favourite title was the one with the twitch around Black Friday. I hope we get that one this year

Ironess · 22/09/2020 23:52

@guiltynetter got a hype order in just in time!
Thank you

ShoppingBasket · 23/09/2020 00:18

Does anyone know if M&S reduce their food hampers any time in the run up to Christmas please? Don't want to pay full price when I have to pay postage!

Givealittlebit · 23/09/2020 02:16

Ooh another new thread already! Thanks reastie, I swear I'm always playing catch up!

Reastie · 23/09/2020 06:05
