Thank you @nickdrakeslovechild for thread title.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

I’m looking for a digital weather station for DH if anyone can recommend one please? I looked last year but got so overwhelmed with choice and reviews that I didn’t get one! Anyway, I’d really like to get one this year.

purplepandas · 27/08/2020 06:59

Just popping by to say thank you to all who post on these threads, they are so helpful. Love the geometrics book. My daughter loves the OMG dolls too but I can't find any less than £30 @Adelais.

Will post any bargains I see, just not found any yet.

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/08/2020 06:59

Please can someone report on the quality of the weight blanket. Some of the review are mixed and it's for my mil with MH issues? Thanks

purplepandas · 27/08/2020 07:14

Maybe not bargainous but bought from this stall in person last week and some lovely sterling silver child sized earrings. Nice products. This is the eBay store. Also bought a scarf. Mine are for birthdays pre Christmas but bookmarking for stocking fillers. Treehouse Jewellery

Thank you so much for the lego friends hospital set - managed to snaffle the last one near us Grin

JoHo123 · 27/08/2020 07:32

@PinkDaydreams My mum bought my dad this weather station from Amazon a couple of years ago. We paid £100, then it dropped to £75 at the beginning of December so we returned the more expensive one. It’s currently £67. My dad has been very happy with it - the rest of the family less so as we get regular weather updates Grin It is actually really interesting though.

Argos have some OMG dolls for around £25 but depends if there is stock near you. I have found if I keep checking they sometimes come back on. I got the glamper that way weeks after it was first reduced. I'd also pop some in your amazon basket to keep checking as they have price matched Argos after some time.

If anyone sees any bargains on Minecraft Lego please can you shout out? Not looking for particular sets, anything that looks fun.

@BighouseLittlemouse

Hello everyone!

Thank you for all the amazing bargains.

I wanted to ask if anyone has a instant camera they could recommend? Looking for one for my youngest DS - he’s only just turning 6 ( quite mature for his age) so definitely needs to be simple but he loves taking photos and I know he’d love having physical prints.

I’ve been looking at all the various options but no idea which is best! Reviews seem mixed. Can’t decide if it’s worth getting one that also saves the prints digitally or not. But then again it’s only for a 6 year old!

Any recommendations very welcome!

Have you thought about a cheap digital camera, maybe from somewhere like CEX and then the HP Sprocket? I know lots of people on these threads bought the Sprocket last year and were pleased with it.
Scanner20 · 27/08/2020 08:00

Dino smashers is 10.99 again @eastmidswarwicknightnanny

BighouseLittlemouse · 27/08/2020 08:00

Thanks @Spam88 - good point re the cost of paper. Hadn’t thighs of just getting a mini printer and digital!

IHeartKingThistle · 27/08/2020 08:00

@ClaraLane the sprocket is a phone printer, I'm pretty sure. Works via an app.

BighouseLittlemouse · 27/08/2020 08:01

@ClaraLane - sprocket a good idea ( I remember people getting the last year). Thanks

lookingforamindatwork · 27/08/2020 08:07

placemarking

I want to send someone an anonymous xmas gift this year (because they wouldn't accept it otherwise).
Would they be able to track the postage or anything? (never sent anything anonymously before so I have no idea!)

NoWordForFluffy · 27/08/2020 08:15

If you're sending it RM and don't mind if it gets lost and can't be returned to sender, then you just don't put your details on it.

If you get proof of posting it may insure you, even without that on though.

RaggieDolls · 27/08/2020 08:22

Thanks @UselessInDisguise. I've just ordered the llama lights for DD's birthday that's coming up. She will love them.

MsMiaWallace · 27/08/2020 08:30

Thank you so much for the Smashers egg mention last night. I ordered one straight away! DS is gonna be made up with it!

Thanks for the Vitamaques tip. Both the sale link, and the tip-off that if you keep items in your basket overnight they send you a code for 30% off!

I bought this box of face masks,

I’ll keep some for myself and give some as gifts (they’re somewhere around a fiver each, can’t remember) It had £20 off in the sale and then 30% off because I left them in my basket overnight. (The 30% off code doesn’t work alongside the £5 off referral code though). It’s also free postage over £10.

There’s loads of good face masks on that site - peel off ones, sheet ones, avocado ones that you keep on your skin overnight and don’t wash off, charcoal ones- I want them all!

DH is always asking me what the weather is going to be like or does this strange but funny holding his hand out as if it can gauge the pressure somehow. I had thought of a barometer or weather station but have gone with the decorative but much less precise storm bottle.

I’m getting totally stuck with dd2... dd1 I think we’re settled on a kids kindle for her main gift - I’ve seen it at £74.99 but I’m greedy and want it lower on Black Friday! Dd2 is 6 and wants a toy kitchen!? Think I’ve seen one that would be tall enough for her it’s this kidkraft one in white currently £208 and don’t want to be paying more than £200, ideally about £190 max!
