Thank you @nickdrakeslovechild for thread title.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Glad to have something to share for once- there’s a flash sale on top shop, up to 50% off everything today only I think. I haven’t had time to investigate for anything good sorry.

NoWordForFluffy · 27/08/2020 12:30

@mummyof4kids, Very is price-matching the reduced price elsewhere. If you aren't already a customer you could use the new customer discount on top, which I think is £30. You'll probably qualify for 12 months interest free, or can choose to pay over 3 months, interest free too, if that helps a bit?

NoWordForFluffy · 27/08/2020 12:31

Actually, on big items, the attached discount is better!

On That Ass is a company that does a monthly subscription to boxer shorts but the first pair is free, I’ve just ordered a pair for DH’s stocking and will then cancel. Might be worth a try for people looking for stocking fillers? www.facebook.com/797954783627124/posts/3289525377803373/?extid=VnvpTklIUST0FaSF&d=n

The Dune sale ends at midnight tonight. Up to 70% off. Could be good if you have anyone to buy for who likes handbags/accessories or if you're brave enough a pair of shoes. Just ordered myself some new boots for the winter, just hope now that they fit.

Whittard delivery is due today, one of my Dust and Things orders has been dispatched and also waiting for Lisa Angel delivery as that has also been dispatched.

I'm looking for a lovely serving dish for a gift for a family member. I love Selborne Pottery ones but they're rather pricey, a 27cm one for £75. Although maybe that is about what I should expect to pay for something so lovely. Anyone have any suggestions for something similar for less?

Bluewavescrashing · 27/08/2020 12:55

I've had 5 parcels today! Lisa Angel, blue craft paper roll for wrapping, photos from Freeprints, Gruum shampoo bars. All are fab!

NightOwl19 · 27/08/2020 12:56

Has anyone got or used the Hoverkarts for kids? Any reviews

MulberryPeony · 27/08/2020 12:58

Boo UO are now only doing one promo at a time so I can’t use my £5 off at the same time as extra 20% off the sale.

I heard on FB that Kurt Geiger are doing 50% off for NHS card holders.

Coffeeonthesofa · 27/08/2020 13:09

@InDreamland
I have purchased pottery items from richardbramble.com.com I have been very happy with them. Shoved them in the dishwasher no problem. Prices are similar to the one you have quoted, so no saving I’m afraid.

InDreamland · 27/08/2020 13:16

@Coffeeonthesofa thanks. I'll take a look.

Should've posted a pic of kind of thing in looking for. It's stoneware.

@Hedgyhoggy

Dd(7) has asked for a jewellery advent calendar. Is there anything like that out there for a 7 year old? Or do I make my own and if so where do I get 24 pieces of jewellery that doesn’t get too expensive?
What's your budget? If you type in '10pcs jewellery' into eBay you can find stuff like this…

greyinganddecaying · 27/08/2020 13:41

@MsMiaWallace

Are the Hype lucky bags worth it? Anyone that's ordered one what did you get?

I received two navy bags, a bit dull but not out-there patterns

greyinganddecaying · 27/08/2020 13:43

@TheGirlWhoLived

I’m getting totally stuck with dd2... dd1 I think we’re settled on a kids kindle for her main gift - I’ve seen it at £74.99 but I’m greedy and want it lower on Black Friday! Dd2 is 6 and wants a toy kitchen!? Think I’ve seen one that would be tall enough for her it’s this kidkraft one in white currently £208 and don’t want to be paying more than £200, ideally about £190 max!

We bought general kindle fires for £30-40 in the Black Friday sale, then bought child drop-proof cases from eBay for around £7. It worked out a lot cheaper and we didn't feel that they'd missed out by not having amazon kids.

Mumto3thatsme · 27/08/2020 14:01

Thanks for the Dune tip, just got myself and dd some boots and trainers, £170 down to £78 includes free delivery over £50...might keep the trainers to give as a Christmas present 🙂

Mumto3thatsme · 27/08/2020 14:02

Paperchase has 30% off back to school range, and a 3 for 2 section. There are some lovely diaries and pens etc if you have teen girls to buy for. I’ve just got myself a nice teachers back to school planner in the sale.

Hophop26 · 27/08/2020 14:55

@mummyof4kids I have a barbie dreamhouse crazed dd too, we couldn’t face the price so opted for the wooden glamour mansion Asda do and it was well received and is played with a lot, the car port bit fits the barbie car, Barbie helicopter can land on the roof terrace and other accessories like the barbie pool work well with it - and it was £50!

mummyof4kids · 27/08/2020 14:57

@NoWordForFluffy thank you
