Morning. Welcome to our new thread.

We maybe have rain today. I really hope we do! I have no ides when we last had it.

I'm baking with the kids today plus potting some plants on. Exciting. No idea where they'll go, mind you!

Only 2 days left of furlough. Yaaay for the financial side and booooo otherwise! 😂

Wreck excellent! I have a Tesco delivery on the 15th !!! So excited cannot believe it! How sad is that

Firefly poor little spaghetti paws I've had to wipe curry sauce off one before now - daren't let them try to lick it off

R-Cat has eaten leftover curry chicken before (because we didn't clear the plates away quickly enough) - and we eat ours HOT.

He's a risk-taker! He got salmon on Tuesday, so he's still winning as far as he's concerned.

At least it's a short week next week, Fluffy!

Morning!

I dug out my old amitriptyline last night as my shoulder has been hurting since doing all of the heavy digging. I slept for almost 8.5 hours!! 😱😱😱 It must've helped as normally I wake in pain.

A grey start, but it's meant to brighten, I think. We had some proper rain yesterday evening / night. I'll do a butt update later as I'm at my desk now!

I think I slept for 12 hours last night. I was so exhausted I nearly fell asleep in the bath.

I had ended up in a &e yesterday. The old ticker was playing up.

I envy your sleep. Awful cramping started at around 11pm and kept me awake until 2 then very helpful Ddog woke me at 6 because he needed a wee. I've been dozing on and off since but feel rubbish.

I've had an email from expenses this morning and I'm so cross and upset. Our local policy says excess miles will be paid at the standard rate but national policy states a reduced rate. When I changed bases I went by the local policy and worked out everything based on that but now they're saying I can't have that. I'm going to be losing around £100 a month. My manager didn't think that was right but someone above her must have authorised it.

Now I'm in a bad mood which has made me short tempered with the dc and all in all we are already having a really shit day.

Crazy this tree is a "trial run" for it's bigger cousin, isn't it?
I was thinking......if you're going to do a taller one, you'll need something stiff to give it some structure/hold it upright. Foil or Cling film tube - they're really strong and you can stuff the padding around them. You're also going to need a star for the top...I'm still pondering that one

puss yes it's a practise run tree. Cousin will definitely be bigger and need a better, stronger structure. Foil / clingfilm tube should be perfect.

For the top I'm going to have a dig around my craft and Christmas stash. I was thinking of adding an actual star decoration or possible making one by shaping some wire then threading gold beads on it but not sure 🤔

We will be ok just won't be able to save as much. I'm going to argue it anyway. It's in their policy in black and white, I didn't write it, they did 🤷🏽‍♀️

It's been raining here all morning on and off. It was dry when DH went for his walk...not so dry when he got back he was a tad soggy.

It's dm's birthday today. She's the big 6-0. We had booked her and my dad away for a week but it's all been cancelled and the only thing I could get delivered was flowers.

Nero try not to worry. DH had some tests while he was in, and has a couple more booked for the next few wks.

It's Charlie and Tillys birthdays today too, they're 6 - they've had a tin of tuna for lunch as a treat and have buggered off upstairs to sleep it off

Butt update: overflow butt still not filling. We need huge amounts of rain, it seems! My butt will run dry otherwise! 😱😂

We sowed pea crop number 3, more squash and our sunflowers at lunch time. We shall see what pops up!

I put washing out today then had to run and get it in mid downpour which turned to hail. The weather has been all over the place but it's cold now so the heating is on.

Just amended my Asda order for tomorrow and they haven't got any bread or milk very annoying but not the end of the world I suppose. They also didn't have any beer for DH but I think he drinks too much anyway so not too bothered about that

Wreck I hate Asda for this reason. I went to change some things to my order and half of the stuff was already out of stock. I'll be glad to get back to my Tesco orders.

Crazy they have given me some beta blockers to see if they help. But there will be no resting until dh is off on his holidays in 2/3 weeks time. Roll on 17th May.

Wreck, Asda doing what it does best. They drive me mad. I always cancel my changes if I see things have gone out of stock. Unless the thing(s) I'm adding are needed more than those things that have dropped out.
