Morning. Welcome to our new thread.

We maybe have rain today. I really hope we do! I have no ides when we last had it.

I'm baking with the kids today plus potting some plants on. Exciting. No idea where they'll go, mind you!

Only 2 days left of furlough. Yaaay for the financial side and booooo otherwise! 😂

Yay wonderful news Nero! I don't think my DS will be starting in September. The Welsh Education Minister says return to school will be phased and reception is the easiest to phase. I think they will push new starters back to Jan.

The butterfly just needs finishing. I want to add the screwdriver and pliers on to the spanner along the length of that bookmark. Meanwhile, I started the holly leaves about 4 years ago as a round pattern, to be attached to the flat side of half a transparent dome to hang on a tree.

Nero that's brilliant! Star
fluffy thank you for your butt updates Grin
It's chucking it down here!
Crazy thanks Xmas Grin they aren't my two - they are deliberately kept away from the tree as they'd either set fire to the house or hurt themselves or both
Biddy have you seen the convertible shopping bag/rucksack?
www.notabag.com/collections/notabag-original these look fab if you have the skills to replicate them which sadly i don't

Biddy if you run out of a specific DMC or Anchor shade, let me know - I have hundreds Blush not all of them, but most of the popular ones.

BiddyPop · 29/04/2020 15:03

Thanks pussycat, I have plenty to keep me going quite a few months yet Blush. I'm not thinking anything so complicated for bags though, more something like the shape of this one that can fold into it's own pocket.

They look good. I've an aversion to sewing machines - my mums friend sewed through her finger Shock so that's put me off I hand-stitched my project "textile design" project at school as i refused to use the machines

Biddy! I wondered where / how you'd been! I'm glad you're OK (and - it seems - better than you have been recently).

Crazy, I've literally just had my first slice of cake now I'm back from the allotment. It tastes really good!

I hope you get your tree finished today!

Biddy, your projects are great. Who are the bookmarks for?

Boots, we've had a little rain here. Nothing dramatic (or anything that will affect the butts in a positive way!). The ground at about an inch deep is still bone dry / dusty here. We need it to chuck down. I hope we have some proper rain soon.

I've been prepping plot 1 today which meant digging up the final parsnips, digging the ground in 3 sections and then putting bamboo into the ground ready for my beans.

I also got more peas into the ground, so will sow my final lot once I've brought the trays home (I didn't have a bag with me today!).

My spuds are showing signs of growth now, hurrah! My lettuce is too, as well as more beetroot. I'll thin the latter out in a week or so.

And great news, Neros. You must be relieved!

Hello!
Just a quick pop in to say hi to you all

  • it's lovely to see these threads still going in all this madness

Not sure if you'll remember me but you were all super kind last October during a really awful time - just wanted to update that DSIS is now back home in her own flat and getting on with "living despite" her stage 4 diagnosis - she is on a drug that has so far shrunk her tumours so feeling much more positive despite now having to shield

Christmas last year was a bit tearful, hoping this year will be much better - even if we are still distancing!

Looking at the breakdown of answers, the ones that were really specific were tick, grid and entry.
It got me spot on too Grin

Chocolate Welcome back. I'm glad your sister is doing well.
