Here we go again! It feels slightly bonkers setting off again before today is over, but it's tradition, so who am I to argue?!

I'm glad your DD went swimming in the end. We had similar with nephew last week who point blank refused rugby. DH took the same approach as you - told him that's fine but you need to go and explain to your team and coach that you're not playing today.
He changed his mind when we got there 🙄

70 who is your cruise with?
We have been with P&O and Thomsons. I love a cruise, it's the only true luxury holiday DH doesn't moan about paying for (if we fly he'd rather save on accommodation / food so We can stay away longer).

flouncy my dream is to have 3 bathroom - mine, DH, spare downstairs for guests (DH isn't bad but I have no tolerance for his toothpaste all over the sink and beard hairs everywhere when he shaves).

Fluffy What was the issue with the car? I have no doubt you'll get it sorted.

I'm also jealous of your garlic. FIL used to grow his own and gift it to me (along with carrots and parsnips). It was always pungent but sweet. Now he's moved he doesn't have the garden / space for it ☹️

It's been a long day. Positives - I've lost the weight I gained over Christmas and a bit extra so I'm 9.5lbs down overall since I started.
Negatives - my house is frigging freezing and I cannot get it to a comfortable temp in the living room. I'm currently on the sofa in pjs, fleece dressing gown, thick Christmas socks and have a woollen blanket and ddog2 shaped hot water bottle on me 🥶 (heating is on too but DH dickhead left 5 windows and all the internal doors open all day so base temp was freezing and the house his old, stone, high ceilings etc) 😡

I have a spot on my earlobe and it’s bloody killing me to lie on it, and I can only get comfy on that side (talk about a first world problem). It’s driving my up the wall.

To those of you who’s DC go to clubs, how old were they when they started?. DD is 5 (in reception) and doesn’t do any clubs, but I would like to start looking for some.

Mum you say that about the dentist but my dentist accidentally punched me in the jaw once when I was a teen. Then when I went to have a root canal a few years ago the dentist numbed me up and then realised his equipment wasn't working so I had to go home again. I'm with a new dentist now . Re clubs mine started swimming when they were 4. Our school doesn't let reception children do after school clubs etc as they think it's too much for them, which is fair enough. They don't offer much in the way of clubs though. Ds only started football in September when he was 6. Did you have anything in mind?

It's freezing outside. My phone says -2 so probably nearer -3/4. I don't need to leave so early today but the roads will still be icy there was lots around yesterday morning.

Morning!

Not much sleep here due to ruminating about the bastard car. Both of us, apparently.

I'll see what today brings and then draft my letter to the garage. They've messed with the wrong family, I can tell you! If they won't play ball, I'll take it to the credit card company and do a s75 claim. It's handy being a lawyer sometimes. 😂

Flouncy, he could've walked DS home instead of waiting in the car. They'd have got home about 20 minutes earlier. He clearly went to pot mentally.

Wreck, it's warmer here today, thankfully. No frost or ice to be seen.

My childhood dentist was a horror. I stopped going when I had to pay as he really put me off. I then went 12 years' later when it was free because I was a student and I've been going regularly since I was pregnant with DD. I'm mostly over my phobia thanks to having a lovely dentist now.

Morning all, trying to pop in whilst everyone’s preoccupied with breakfast. It is bitter as anything today, -1 here but feels much colder. It was that cold that a tiny part of me contemplated giving the kids a day off school so that I didn’t have to do the school run in this weather😂. I’ve a busy day today, I need to get shit done. By the end of today I will hopefully be out of the lazy January stage and back into gear🤞🏻. Have a great day all!.

wreck oh don’t say that thankfully none of that has happened to me and my teeth are seemingly healthy but it still scares the crap out of me. It’s funny though because I love hospitals, particularly for the cafes.
DS Goes to football, albeit not a group just a friendly once a week game for LO’s. DD wants to start ballet, she did baby ballet. I will have a look today as I know there’s a school near me, I just wasn’t sure if she was too young.

That’s the thing! flouncy it’s that bloody chair!. I just cannot bring myself to get on and have them lower me down into the light. And I haven’t even had anything more than a filling, god knows how you manage it, you brave woman.

My dentist tried to ram an impression mould into my mouth and ranted at me when I wasn't happy about it. I was about 8 and he hadn't explained what was happening or tried to coax me into it. Arse.

I am watching the telly and they have these beautiful robotic animals on they look just like real ones they behave like them too. 🤗 Except they don't hurt you when they bite 😂😂😂

We visited my stepneice just after they adopted 3 cats , they were sick everywhere , it stank of used cat litter tray and the house was in a terrible state, but they were so happy with them 🤗
Thinking by about that, l am wondering if there is something wrong with he sense of smell , it was so bad 😂😂😂
