Afternoon.

Here we go again! It feels slightly bonkers setting off again before today is over, but it's tradition, so who am I to argue?!

I know Mumba it's like so stupid to troll here because everyone knows each other Hmm. I just think it's so pointless and we are not fools . Everyone dips in and out of threads, when my Dad died l was out for about 6 weeks, it was the last thing on my mind. Apparently that is really common after a bereavement, or so l am told .
Fanny hmmm l hope you are rubbing it for him Grin

Mumba l have just read this about Caprice from spits The Mirror
'Though earlier today, the model appeared to shed light on the mystery as she liked a tweet from one cheeky fan who asked if she'd had a 'diva strop.' Grin it will come out sooner or later Grin

TheWoollybacksWife · 20/01/2020 17:39

I always told my DC that they could give up any activity they didn't want to do - as long as they were the one that told the teacher they weren't doing it any more. That definitely deterred the casual "I don't want to go swimming/dancing/brownies/football/karate" strops.

Mrsmadevans · 20/01/2020 17:40

FANNY! You should have used a lubricant, Poor DH ,your rough, hewn, cracked hands all over his injured limb, the poor baby ! Grin

www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/chemistry-between-caprice-hamish-could-21319294
Yet another point of view Hmm

Mumbassa · 20/01/2020 17:52

I’m sorry to hear about you dad mrsFlowers, but you are right it’s a very pointless thing to do. This caprice and hamish thing is driving me bonkers! I have a funny feeling they had a falling out, but I may be wrong. I can’t understand why it’s all so hush hush! Hmm

flouncy he sounds like my DH, he regularly likes to exercise and one time had quite bad cramp and when I ran him a bath to soak it he moaned because it was too hot It was the last time I tried to help him. I wouldn’t be doing that anyway now, we had no DC then, it’s every man for themselves these daysGrin

WreckTangled · 20/01/2020 17:54

I'm not sure. She's here and getting changed but now ds is saying he doesn't want to do it because he feels sick. I know he's just nervous though.

Mrsmadevans · 20/01/2020 17:55

Thank you Mumba very kind of you Smile Caprices DH is allegedly very jealous we shall see Grin
Fanny CRAMPEX m'dear hold his nose and make him take it , we swear by the stuff here Grin

Mrsmadevans · 20/01/2020 18:00

Oh Wreck , l am so sorry lovely , you are so hard working and do everything you can for the whole family, bless you. Think of all the things you could do with the money from the swimming lessons Grin l am sure you feel better now, hair , flowers, wine, shoes, clothes, perfume, make up Grin & pkt's of Terry's choc eggs Grin

Mumbassa · 20/01/2020 18:08

mrs at least it’s gave me some excitement. I made DH rewind it last night so I could find out what happened. He wasn’t best pleased Grin

wreck bless them, I’d give it some time and if they still feel like it then as you said they can go down and say they don’t want to do it anymore.

WreckTangled · 20/01/2020 18:10

The thing is they're both saying they do want to do it, just not tonight! I can't cancel because the teacher is here just for them. They went in, ds was fine, dd burst into tears. But we know her teacher really well, we've known her a few years and she's great with them. They're both swimming now. Personally I think it's hormones with dd and some exercise will do her good.

Mrsmadevans · 20/01/2020 18:15

Wreck they are prob just tired , l wonder if they have done a lot in school today to make them feel like this [flowers}
Mumba l stayed up till 11.30 last night searhing Twitter Hmm serve me right !

Mrsmadevans · 20/01/2020 18:17

Coronavirus , what new hell is this Shock

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 20/01/2020 19:02

Wreck my DC went to swimming lessons when they were little ( School had compulsary swimming in Yr 5 or Yr6 and my NDN said Don't let your DC be the ones who cannot swim, it is grim for them

It was a 30 minute lesson, on a Sunday so I had to drive them ( Sunday buses not great) , DH doesn't drive .

Then in the Summer they did a "Crash Course" swimming every day ( again 30 minutes)

So by the time we drive there , the DC got changed and I parked my bum in the viewing area , it was time to go home .(About 25 minutes drive each way)
But 30 minutes was enough to focus them.

NoWordForFluffy · 20/01/2020 19:12

Bloody hell. The car has broken down. And DS is freezing as DH didn't bother to cover his bare legs over while he waited for his friend. So he's cold and upset that he's missed swimming.

PJMasksGhekko · 20/01/2020 19:12

Hi everyone, just catching up while in the bath, the dog is licking my bubbles from behind me, such weird creatures.

Been manic here, what with work etc, I can confirm that I am not a troll as fluffy is my cousin Grin

WreckTangled · 20/01/2020 19:15

My dc have a swimming pool at their school so swim from reception to year six. They enjoyed their lesson and are happy now. It was a stressful evening but there you go!

Mrs the most recent books I read were about a virus (zombie!) that got everyone Shock

WreckTangled · 20/01/2020 19:15

Oh no fluffy that's the last thing you need

PJMasksGhekko · 20/01/2020 19:19

Oh no fluffy, always happens at the most inconvenient times, I hope you get sorted now.

I saw something about this virus but haven't clicked on anything

I hope everything’s calmed down now fluffy and is sorted

mrs I’ve seen some things about the coronavirus, it sounds awful.

NoWordForFluffy · 20/01/2020 20:14

Flouncy, lop it off. It's the only way!

They got home OK. But I'm not sure the warranty DH bought will cover it as the car wasn't serviced and it's overdue (the fucking great warning of this on the dash made it obvious; it was the first thing I saw when I got in it). I'm bloody furious that he didn't demand the money off for a service plus it needed 4 tyres last week. Honestly, I'm not letting him go and buy a bloody car on his own again. 😡😡😡😡

The Consumer Rights Act May be our saviour if the warranty fails. Thankfully. I'll just have to go legal on the garage.

Mrsmadevans · 20/01/2020 20:53

Fluffy that is awful you poor things Flowers
I would feel very inclined to be cross with DH if it were me , have not forgiven his terrible driving yet Grin
Fanny Voltarol is excellent , he is vere lucky to have you !
Make him elevate it and if it keeps on hurting what about a hot water bottle Smile
Zombie book Virus does not sound like something l would like but l bet my DD1 would love it Grin
