Hello all its been busy on here. Im just popping on to say a quick hello. Its all still rather busy in the cish house hold but much happier now the house is decluttered cleaned and decorated. Weve still got a bit to do but hoping to be done by the end of the month and then i can get back to my Christmas planning yay.

I've been doubling up on hay fever meds this last week. My eyes are so itchy. Argggh.

Only three weeks left st work then I break for the summer! Then September i feel like a kid again (over worked though) with the new school year and it being that amazing term with so much to look forward to

MrsMad my mum works for Tk maxx but she deals with various stores. She might be in Cwmbran today you know, I'm sure she mentioned it yesterday (she loves that one, not sure why).

Anyway, back to work for me.
I'm debating buying this cross stitch. Is that a bit ambitious considering I've never done one and I have one very small Aldi robin kit to use as practise?

Crazy that's lovely. Think of it this way - you already have all the technical skills to complete it. If you have patience and are prepared to unpick if you go wrong then you go for it! There's a thread in Arts and Crafts about charity shop crafting. Apparently there are loads of partly completed cross stitch kits donated - you could always try to find one of those that takes your fancy and have a go at completing it just for the practice.

Thank you everyone for the earring support . I tried to find something in the sale for DD2 but she's a bit less traditional than DD1 so those kind of earrings are out and the only charm I was sure she'd like was one she had already. I'm sure there will be another sale before the end of the year and I check the outlet website every so often anyway. I think she'd like a ring or a rose gold charm.

I have that exact cross stitch crazy! Cross stitch is easy as long as you know how to count :)

It’s a beautiful day here too but I’m sweating like nobody’s business. I will drop by at the supermarket after work and have a mooch for a paddling pool and then put one on my balcony. My water bill is sky high lately, I spend most of my waking hours in a cold shower.

My Rex London stuff arrived today. The stocking fillers are lovely and I think my DDs will like them but I'm really delighted with my flour shaker - lovely vintage Orla Kiely design for £1. Small things make me happy

Getting to the end of this shawl for myself and I’m thinking about making a similar for my mum but in purples and blacks as she goes to a lot of formal ladies nights etc. And giving it to her for Christmas

Woolly, I ♥️♥️ Rex London and gets lots of present bits from there. Their little tubes of pencils and pads go down really well with primary kids.

DD enjoyed sports day but was very tired after! I'm rather pink and crispy now though. Fail. DH came second in the dads' race. I couldn't race as I was in my work dress, so not really appropriate!

Crazy lovely cross stitch m'dear , didn't see your Mum in TKMAX but ask her did she see a fat blond woman leaning over the handles of a B & Q trolley , going around the baby stuff, that was me lol! I had to borrow a B & Q trolley from outside because they don't seem to have them anymore in the Cwmbran shop and l can't walk without leaning forward . They had some lovely stuff there today . I bought some baby things for my BFF and My Mum to give to her BFF twin great grandchildren. They were lovely , Lee Cooper denim shorts and tops , l am not usually a brand person but the parents are very young, mid twenties that is very young to me lol and they are much more trendy than moi will put pics on after.

We used to love them when ours were small. They were useless at sports but it was a lot of fun .
