We took the DC out shopping today ( DH took A/Leave , I don't work Fridays , The DC are still on holiday )

I said to DD "If I suggest we all go Christmas Shopping remind me how bad your Dad and Brother are in shops "

DH doesn't know his way round them. DS doesn't want anything and I have to force him to look at clothes .

So it'll be Her &Me Shopping

I've never posted before - I normally just lurk  - but I'm sat curled up on the sofa with the DC watching Miracle on 34th Street (it's on E4!)

Must mean it's nearly here 🎄

I've been up since stupid o'clock to take DD2 to work. The upside is that I have the house to myself. I'm watching mystery movies and contemplating a bowl of weetabix. Rock and Roll.

It's brilliant isn't it Emrys? I don't think I've been alone since the middle of July. If I take my glasses off I can ignore the dusting that needs doing.

I'm still contemplating the weetabix. I have picked up my knitting though, so that's a start. I've also played freezer Tetris and found freezer space for ten tubs of cooked apples I did yesterday. I am seriously thinking of buying another freezer from FB to keep in the garage (next to the freezer that's already there 😂)

Just joined this thread - bought my first 2 gifts in yesterday . Love love love Christmas and I like to be organised so I can just relax and take in all the festive cheer

You'll have everything bought and wrapped . Then you'll see something on TV or in the shops or online .
"Oh, Geoff would love that" so you buy it .
Then "Hmmm now Andy's pressie pile looks really paltry" ....so you buy a top up present .
Sometimes there's a huge difference anyway (my DS likes money , his present pile could fit in a shoebox. DD likes 'things' she has bags and bags of them . I have given up topping up his presents , he is very hard to buy for , but gets clothes + toilettries + chocolate and his ££)

Welcome Marcie. 4 is a lovely age. Is your DS at preschool? If so I'm sure there will be a Christmas play or nativity to look forward too, plus all that fab stuff covered in glitter that he'll bring home.
