Thank you for the new thread Fluffy

chips will be nice to have you back Xmas Smile

8 weeks for Christmas candles blacksmith? I have to try not to buy any - I have a big candle and loads of votives already - but I know I'll end up with some. I love them, they make me feel cosy.

Welcome Lou 👋

Fingers crossed for DD1 MrsMad and I'm glad DD2s job is going well.

I'm sorry you're in so much pain. I hope your MRI is soon. Is a private scan and option? We paid for a private ultrasound when we were doing fertility investigations. Reduced a 12 week wait to just over 1.

Welcome ILoveGroot (love your username, I am a groot fan).
I went to Harry Potter studios in December a few years ago (before they had the forbidden Forrest). It was lovely, they had a giant tree in the entrance, the hall was decorated as it is in the films, the giant Hogwarts model had a dusting of snow and outside there was a pipe blowing out bits of foam which looked like snow. I've attached some pics - would definitely recommend!

I'm having a lovely chilled out day. My house is clean, DH has very little work to do now his school reports are in and I'm feeling very relaxed. Might continue working on my crochet nativity later - angel Gabrielle next...

The Hairy Bikers recipe book is very good too.

Can I join in? This will be my first Christmas as a mummy

NoWordForFluffy · 02/07/2019 06:21

Hi Lone! When are you due, or have you had the baby already?

There's a few pregnant posters who come and go!

Morning!

It's meant to be lovely today and tomorrow. It's sports day for DD tomorrow, and warm and sunny for it. I think I'd have preferred dry but cloudy so they don't cook!

DS doesn't have sports day this year; they'll have it together next year.

I ache a bit today. Not surprising really though. 😂

NoWordForFluffy · 02/07/2019 07:33

Mine is way down my list. I've got about 4-5 ahead of it! Xmas Blush

Definitely mum's Christmas one next. Then the Highland cow one. Then the Christmas donkey one. Then we shall see! 😂

Just a heads-up reminder to those who have Movies24 (SKY channel 325) - they are showing made-for-tv Christmas films from 11.00am everyday at the moment! Part of the Christmas in July trend!

Woop woop!

BiddyPop · 02/07/2019 09:42

I must have a peep at the movie channels - DH removed my Christmas movies from the box and I hadn’t even watched them yet!

Also need to make plans as I will have a few days to craft in August so I want to do a lot of sewing and maybe some other things too. I’m hoping to bring some cross stitch on holidays and quietly make some progress there for a change.

I can’t believe it’s july already. I still need DH to sit down with me to book flights - we are just too busy. If there are no seats left, I will be very very grumpy!!!!

BarryMcguigan · 02/07/2019 10:04

Glad I found this thread. I've got a very rough few months coming up which I'm incredibly anxious about. Focusing on Christmas and knowing I will be through the worst of it is really helping. Here's to mince pies, cosy nights and sparkly trees :)

blacksmiths09 · 02/07/2019 10:11

Hear hear BarryMcguigan!

(and a few glasses of mulled wine for good measure!)

LOVE dark nights, twinkling lights everywhere and Christmas TV/Films!!

BarryMcguigan · 02/07/2019 10:14

@blacksmiths09 oh yes lots of mulled wine! Even Halloween and Bonfire night seem so cosy and exciting right now!! Boots and jumpers and gloves and dark nights. It's bringing me so much peace and comfort focusing on this!!

VivaJen · 02/07/2019 12:15

I know exactly what you mean @BarryMcguigan and @blacksmiths09 I bought a new woolly hat in the sales and I can't wait until it's cold and crisp and I can wear it!
