Yes l was glued last night. We all were, it's up there with SCD for us here. I lived the contestants, Dan the man, in his clip said to the youngster he was helping to fill the cake cases 'thats right put a big blob in there Dave' and we were all smitten by him 😍🧡💛💚💙💜bless him 🥰🤗. It's ruthless though l thought . I loved it , Prue, Sandi and especially Noel , he is so gentle 😍😍you can keep Paul , l know he is a necessity but l must admit l have gone off him. 😆
We have been watching the 3 Dad's Army episodes remakes and thoroughly enjoyed them. Very much a nostalgia trip for us 😁

Back at work since Monday, putting out fires since I got back!! I didn't finish my planned list of chores, so didn't get to my planned list of "fun" (long mountain hike, spa day, shopping for me in peace etc....). But I did make a lot of good progress over the course of the 3 weeks at home (you can now see the spare beds, and I actually had an overnight visitor for the 1st time in MONTHS!!).

Today, I have printed my Holiday Grand Plan sheets and plan to start filling those in at lunchtime. I looked at the Concert Hall calendar yesterday and none of the usual lunchtime choir concerts are scheduled yet, so I can't start making bookings. And as we are now not travelling long haul, I need to put new plans in place in general to travel locally around the holidays (but staying in our own house on Christmas Day). DH has declared a wish for a turducken for Christmas dinner...so I may actually be ordering from M&S this year!

I only saw the last few minutes of GBBO last night (I had turned on Saving Lives at Sea by mistake, forgotten GBBO was starting back) but those showstoppers were spectacular!!

What channel were the Dad's Army lost episodes on? I saw an ad and didn't pay attention to timings, please say it wasn't BBC?! (Not able to get iPlayer here)

How is it holiday grand plan time again biddy?! Feels like five mins since we were doing it last year.

I scrubbed and tidied everything to within an inch of it's life in preparation for the weekend. Unfortunately it will all need doing again for Christmas. Thanks kids

I tend to do a big clean in early December. I'm hoping I'll be doing flexible working by then to give me time. Though the allotment won't be needing as much attention then, so I'll have a weekend day to do it if necessary. It's just easier without the kids about! 😂

DH is taking DS away this weekend for MIL's birthday so I plan to do a thorough tidy up of the house.

Today I am moving my strawberry plants from the bed to a strawberry tower. Can then plant my potatoes in the bed :)

Morning! Back from our holiday today, wash, re-pack, and head to the coast for a long weekend with friends & kids. So, as much as I love Autumn, I’m hoping summer will hang on for just a few more days! We have been incredibly lucky with the weather while we’ve been away, a heatwave no less! Who’d have thought we’d have the hottest August Bank Holiday on record?! August is normally a wash-out!
DH has been warned that as soon as we’re back from the coast, I am in full Autumn mode.

Fluffy don't feel sorry for me - I got a lot done, just not reached the end of my list, that's all.

Last night, I took a sleeping tablet and actually got to sleep before midnight and slept all night for the first time in ages, so I feel relatively awake today. (It also helped I got an admin task done at home that had been hanging over me and making me feel guilty ). Today, my desk is not terrible so I am doing some other admin here as well - everything will get done in time, but baby steps mean progress is made!! And as I have an unexpected trip to Brussels coming up, I am going to go to the RNLI shop at the weekend and get some Christmas cards, to get those started on the plane journeys!!

MRI says disc bulging and nerve impingement but not bad enough for referral to the orthos . I will take that and run with it

I am home. I'm so so tired, I can't figure out what day it is or if it is morning or night. I think I've managed 5 broken hours of sleep over the last 2 days.
