Wheely, everything is in the bracket, so:

[ fgrin ] (without spaces). Xmas Biscuit is a fun one! Doubt we will need it here, however!

cookiefiend · 09/08/2017 10:50

annwithnoe links for paper bags (I had a little hunt and the prices on these seem ok.)

100 striped bags £1.90 delivered

100 spotty bags £2.25 delivered

They are in my basket, so I can't yet vouch for quality etc, but I am sure you can't go too far wrong. There are different sizes too so watch out for that. I think the spotty ones I linked are a bit bigger. They are all relatively small though- which is fine as everything in the stocking will be small too.

FireflyGirl · 09/08/2017 11:31

Black don't mention the Christmas food mags - M&S are leading Fluffy on a merry dance about when theirs will be available - she is getting very passionate about it Xmas Grin

FridgeCut · 09/08/2017 11:34

I love the bags! I might do a paper bag advent calendar for a change this year

Hubbabubbababy123 · 09/08/2017 12:12

My Pinterest board has exploded I have over 4 thousand pins 🙈 I'm slightly obsessed.. I officially have started the Xmas shopping. 2 bottles of wine and some whiskey! Tesco had duvet sets reduced to a fiver so I picked up two shimmer and shine and two Spider-Man. I had vouchers that were out this week and have to be used.. I live in a tiny house with no shed or garage so my tiny cupboard under the stairs will be stacked high soon.. 🙈🙈 any tips on online places to get pjs? I am the pj fairy in our family. I will need one for a 9 month old, one for a very tiny 15 month old, two for 4 years olds one for a 6 year old and adult ones for myself. It's very hard to get them all matching.. Last year I got some sent from America (aunt) and it cost me 200 and 50 postage so I need somewhere cheaper- preferably online. Any ideas.

Minster2012 · 09/08/2017 12:24

Bother I'm clearly too stupid for festive MN emojis!! Maybe next year I'll get it!🎄

FireflyGirl · 09/08/2017 12:46

Minster - it needs to be fgrin but without the spaces inside the brackets.

I don't know how to do a tree, though, so you're winning me there!

OhOurBilly · 09/08/2017 13:10

hubba I too am on the hunt for Christmas matchy pj's, Dh won't join in (miserable!) But me, dsis and the baby are having matching, I've decided!

I'm wondering about personalised christmas eve boxes now. I've got a couple of books and dvd for it ready for ds's in my amazon basket. And I'm on the hunt for clearance Christmas jumpers!

@SideOrderofSprouts 🎄🎅🏻❄️🤶🏻☃️⛄️

CbeebiesAddict · 09/08/2017 15:53

Ooh please may I join? I have spent today desperately hunting the internet to find out when M&S release their Christmas food catalogue so I can compile my menu.

I have confirmed with guests and there will be 8 of us staying 3 nights at our house so it's going to be quite the squeeze, cosy o keep telling myself!

So far I have bought one present (stocking filler for DS) but am itching to get more. Life is pretty busy with full time work and an 18mo old so want to be organised and have as little to do come the Christmas weekend as possible.

FireflyGirl · 09/08/2017 15:57

Aargh! NOBODY MENTION THE M&S CHRISTMAS FOOD CATALOGUE!!! Xmas Grin Xmas Wink Xmas Grin

CbeebiesAddict · 09/08/2017 16:01

Sorry firefly, haven't had a chance to RTFT, have I put my foot in it?

Any recommendations for Christmas bedding btw? Like quite subtle but still festive :)

FireflyGirl · 09/08/2017 16:05

Lol, not really Cbeebies. It's just Fluffy has been waiting for ages, and even tweeted them, and they were just really cryptic and wouldn't give an answer. So I'm going to Iceland Xmas Grin

I got my Christmas bedding from Primark, which I think is really nice and not-tacky. If you can wait, think they usually bring it out around the end of November.

CbeebiesAddict · 09/08/2017 16:07

Thanks firefly :) Will try and contain myself until November!

Am loving how autumnal it is starting to feel and so excited for Strictly. Roll on September!

This year I have got myself a Christmas organiser and it is the best thing ever. Would highly recommend.

NoWordForFluffy · 09/08/2017 17:22

M&S food goes on sale in October usually, so they can't be far from telling us what the hell it is (I'm over-invested this year as I've a £75 voucher to spend!).

I think it was @VivaJen who'd found a mention in a magazine online that we'd know in early September. It's usually July though, so hmmmmph!

SideOrderofSprouts · 09/08/2017 17:33

It's proper nippy outside even this far south. I'm loving it

CbeebiesAddict · 09/08/2017 17:36

Thanks fluffy I found a load of stuff about it being released in July last year so am a bit annoyed they have changed it!

christmasunicorn · 09/08/2017 18:57

So after resisting for what felt like weeks, I caved and ordered out pyjamas for our Christmas Eve box Xmas Grin

Countdown to Christmas Part 3
Hubbabubbababy123 · 09/08/2017 19:15

Billy- we all have Xmas jammies but kids grow so quickly.. I have so many each for them and they are being quilted into a giant throw. So basically a Christmas throw.

I love those jammies but I am so OCD we all have to match and very traditional here they all must be red. Best ones I got two years ago fleecy onsies they lasted so well.. I feel evil cutting them for quilts but the quilts will be amazing..

I do Xmas beds here. Got on oxendales. Kids have ginger bread patchwork ones and I have a very heavy red snowflake one. I done up my bedroom recently so obviously I need a new Christmas bedding this year to match. Something silver I am thinking. 🎄🎅🏻⛄️

As for emojis i didn't even realise there was Mumsnet ones. I also haven't figured out how to copy lines of posts. 🙈 soon I will..

christmasunicorn · 09/08/2017 19:27

A Christmas quilt made out of Christmas pjs sounds amazing! What a brilliant idea! Totally stealing it

I don't like everyone identical. I think it looks a bit try-hard because I have dh and I, then dd(13) then 3ds'(8,5,1). I can't imagine my teenage daughter ever wanting pj's to match either her mother or her 1yr old brother. I like matching-not-matching

I'm also going for the Christmas bedding this year as well. Our only problem is our bed is a superking so nice cheap bedding is hard to come by. Fortunately Asda/George have now started selling more fun bedding in our size so fingers crossed for some xmas bedding.

Hubbabubbababy123 · 09/08/2017 19:40

Unicorn. My kids have only a year gap and I have nephews etc who I dress so we meet Xmas eve and all get jammies on for a pic. It's tradition and it satisfies my OCD 🙈😂

The quilt idea only came to pass because I couldn't bear to part with any of their Xmas stuff. We have so much. Jammies for each year- t shirts. Woolly jumpers (even in 0-3 month) they will all be incorporated in some way. My idea is when they are 13 and they cannot be dealing with wearing Xmas jammies they have something to cuddle with on Xmas eve..
And a super king bed 😍😍 I have a double (no DP) and my room is packed. Did I mention my house is teeny 😭

christmasunicorn · 09/08/2017 20:29

Teeny houses are awesome! I have a whole Pinterest board dedicated to tiny houses for when all the dc move out. We only have a 3bed house as it is.

tootsieglitterballs · 09/08/2017 20:39

@christmasunicorn where are the pjs from! They are awesome!
