Tesco delivery - Mini Disaster!

Anyone else suffer this today?

We have delivery saver so booked slot ages ago. I do a Sainsburys shop for fresh stuff (luckily) so Tesco is all the drinks, random bits like jam and trifle stuff and everyday things like bread, milk, loo roll etc.

Slot booked for 4-5 today. Voicemail at 1.30 from Tesco to say that due to a system failure in store the order has been cancelled!

Cue dash this afternoon to asda after printing my Tesco list off to get the shopping. I couldn't face trying to do it all at sainsburys in the morning with a 2yr old and 5mo baby in tow!

Tesco apologised and have given a £100 'refund' as a goodwill gesture which is nice.

I'm feeling lucky that it's only the 22nd and im on maternity leave so I can just get it sorted without much bother. Feel sorry for anyone who was relying on the online delivery though.

My tesco delivery slot is this morning 9-10. Currently shitting myself. Don't fancy dragging DD3 out today. The traffics been horrendous all week

Waiting for our sainsburys one this morning. Main items for Christmas dinner bought from COOK but hoping the rest comes.. everything for a big family buffet as well as Christmas day. Then all again with another order on 27th as it's DD 3rd birthday and don't have fridge space for it all in 1 hit!

My ASDA shop was delivered this morning with one...one! substitute an extra special Yule log instead of the cheaper one I ordered.Driver in high spirits and was running ahead of schedule-he does think this will change due to traffic around town later on though!

We're doing very well then - Sainsbury's arrived half an hour late, everything in there with reasonable substitutions.
Got the feeling the driver wasn't thrilled though - he greeted us with "Bah humbug"

We went to m&s last night for ours after previous years online shops. Although we were had a word with for looking through the fridges for things with the longest dates

PS never trust a delivery for the turkey, and leave a day or two to get things from the shops - that's my motto. Turkey crown being picked up at the butcher's today.

I haven't had an email from Iceland at all, either cancelling or confirming delivery (which their website says they'll do) really hope it turns up!

Tescos is due between 9 and 10, not long to wait.

This thread is making me nervous for my delivery this afternoon from Tesco! We don't find our store stick to the bigger or better policy either so I'm dreading any subs!!

My waitrose one is coming between 3-4 i'm not even sure what I ordered now it was done all in a rush but spread out over the course of days
I'm most worried there will be a lack of double cream. I nearly got a pot in tesco yesterday just to be on the safe side but decided I was being ridiculous and put it back.

Oh gawd, another nervous one waiting for a 3pm sainsbos delivery. I really don't need to go to the shops if they deliver everything. Please let it all be ok!

It is a real gamble putting your Christmas shopping in the hands of other people IMO. Especially if you are ordering special stuff for Christmas. Too much scope for human error/mishaps.

Another one for Ocado, all present and correct. When I said to the driver thank goodness the turkey is there she said yes, they really put a lot of focus on the turkeys to make sure people get them.

Ocado arrived yesterday 5pm bang on time and everything there - just need to nip out today for bits I forgot to order and collect turkey tomorrow morn. I love a Ocado!!

I'm someone else shamelessly place marking, I've no idea why this is so fascinating, but it is. Got a veg box coming, I'm hoping it won't be 48 potatoes, 12 types of cabbage and three sprouts!

I have Asda coming between 7 and 8 tonight (would've done earlier but thought I'd be working but I'm not).

I'm having chicken not turkey or it joints so hoping not to have too many issues.

One year Tesco substituted my small 2-3 person chicken for a giant 6-8 person one, which was quite nice

I'm waiting for my Tesco delivery. Checked it last night to rearrange some things and it said the veggie option that I'd ordered weeks ago was out of stock. So I'm not sure what's going to turn up.

I got tesco delivery this morning 6.60 am. Only ordered it last night at 10.30pm! Vegan stuff though so all in stock!

Morrisons are supposed to be coming 7-8 tonight. On the app it says my order is being picked, but I haven't actually had a confirmation email .

my tesco order for yesterday 6-7 was cancelled yesterday no phone call or voice mail i just saw i had been emailed to say a unexpected server error and i was being refunded, i had to ring them to ask what it meant.
I had ordered some items from the pre-order christmas selection which ended up coming late last night !

Oh god, I'm scared too now. I have the turkey and everything coming this afternoon.

Well chased up my order. It's coming today at 10am. They were vague about why it never arrived yesterday. Hoping I get something to smooth me over.
