Sorry if stepping on toes, but I haven't noticed a twitch thread this year, so thought I would start one Smile
I've just twitched and bought a pair of heelys for ds(9), a ghostbusters proton pack for ds (4) and a candy grabber for dd (6). Tell me what you have all impulse bought.

OP posts:
HoFuckOff · 14/12/2016 16:05

I must say cagliostro it took a lot to come up with such a good one Xmas Wink

SatsukiKusakabe · 14/12/2016 16:42

Honestly I'm not a natural at crafts I don't know why I'm doing it to myself Xmas Confused But I know whenever I've made one something the other always wants something too. Silly thing is I'd almost finished dd's and so now I'm still against the wire.

I like the festive name change, can't think of one this year, found it easier with my old name.

HoFuckOff · 15/12/2016 18:18

Sharpies 28pk are reduced to £4.95 on tesco online. Twitched and bought 2 packs earlier but at that price it would be wrong not to, even though I've already bought 6 other large sets of sharpies Xmas Confused.

Cagliostro · 15/12/2016 23:10

I twitched! I think I mentioned the other day that I realised DD has more books than DS. Well the other day DS discovered this book on our shelves and fell in love with it. He's being assessed for autism soon and this book is very 'him', lining things up, patterns, order! Anyway I discovered there's a sequel! And for £8 how the hell could I resist :o

sweetkitty · 15/12/2016 23:16

Twitched today and bought DD3 a kiddizoom smart watch. She's hardly asked for anything from Santa and it was reduced!

HoFuckOff · 16/12/2016 06:43

Cagliostro that book looks lovely, my ds(9) is also being assessed.

i must confess I twitched on the cath kidston site Xmas Blush. I had a 20% off code so ordered boots for dd and youngest ds. But it's clothes so doesn't count really as they always get a new outfit Christmas Eve for the panto.

Cagliostro · 16/12/2016 09:59

Oh for heavens sake my usborne friend is having a stock sale. Must be strong...

lookingforbaubles · 16/12/2016 10:27

i just twitched on some water bottles

having 4 daughters meant i had to buy 4 -chilly bottles too expensive but half prize 'king do way' insulated colourful bottles became a bargain...

SloanePeterson · 16/12/2016 10:50

I just twitched and it's all Mumsnets fault. I was happily reading away under my blanket when a banner ad for Russell Howard at the Albert hall popped up. I'd tried to get tickets to his last show but they sold out instantly. This time, I've managed to get two tickets for next March! Am very happy as tbh my presents for Dh so far have been rubbish (and I'd already twitched yesterday in desperation on some trainers for him Blush)

jakesmommy · 16/12/2016 10:56

Will be twitching on Wednesday when I get paid, already bought and wrapped my kids presents but want to get some a couple more things each, will be getting a Nerf mastodon for my 9 year old son, blaze and the monster machines playset for my 6 year old son and a In the night garden play table for my 13 month old twins

traviata · 16/12/2016 11:28

twitchety twitch

2 prints for DS's walls yesterday because the gallery is closing down and I felt sorry for them. A facial brush for DD because the piles were uneven. More smallish things off DS's list, just because, and a book of smartphone optical illusions.

Grumpyoldblonde · 16/12/2016 14:18

Well, I was all done, totally finished, then I wrapped the stocking fillers and did what I always do 'that doesn't look much' idiot that I am I have added Minion Christmas pyjamas and The Secret Life of Pets' DVD. NO MORE !

Cagliostro · 16/12/2016 14:52

Off to town... got to make some returns/exchanges. Must not go off list. Xmas Hmm

ArriettyMatilda · 16/12/2016 16:14

Mrsmadevans I presume you mean Robbie Williams? I've just got Mil to twitch on tickets for dp, saved me some money and gave her something to give him Xmas Smile

Cagliostro · 16/12/2016 20:19

I was good in town. Resisted many impulse buys!

HoFuckOff · 16/12/2016 20:34

Cagliostro that deserves some recognition well done Xmas Grin

wonderingsoul · 16/12/2016 21:47

Is that twitching?

Sloegin2 · 16/12/2016 22:19

Twitchy twitch.
Ordered DS2 yokai watch for his 3ds ... I'm sure I can sneak it in his pile without DH noticing Grin

SideOrderofSprouts · 16/12/2016 22:21

I twitched on a hair dryer set for dd1 and toot toot advent calendar for ds1. For next year.

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 16/12/2016 22:26

I twitched and bought a photo blanket for ds2, it's gorgeous.

A tiny part of me was really disappointed when it arrived this morning though as I thought I'd finished with wrapping so no more twitching for me. The dses are off school now, no chance to wrap anything up so I am done.

ClosedAuraOpenMind · 16/12/2016 22:41

so... i've got everything on DD's christmas list. but Trolls is her favourite film, so she needed a soft toy Poppy, right Hmm

bojorojo · 16/12/2016 22:53

I thought this thread would be about "The Twitch" a brilliant episode of Sgt Bilko. Never mind - off to buy a box set if I can find one.

Cagliostro · 16/12/2016 23:08

why thank you Ho :o

Oh hang on though I hadn't REALLY planned to get DS another pair of trousers. But they had awesome captain america ones and I had money on a gift card from the exchange (have left £20 on there as couldn't see anything else). I may need to remove my halo.

Haven't wrapped everything yet but the clothes are now EVEN in terms of items (DS has 3 pairs of trousers, 2 tshirts and a jumper, DD has a hoody, 2 t-shirts, boots and a leotard/shorts set for gym). And I am ecstatic that I finally found a dinosaur t-shirt, it didn't cost anything as I was exchanging the leggings mum got (which are beautiful but sadly too small) - sent mum a pic of the new top and she is happy too. DD will love it.

I returned the panic-bought knickers in m&s and got some wrapping paper - we have plenty but I usually buy after xmas for the following year when they go half price! But they are already half price so I thought may as well get them now.

Just books left to sort now - not planning on buying more just need to wrap/allocate to family who've given money to buy from them. I have resisted the usborne seller's stock sale, maybe that means I can put the halo back on?

Inolongercare · 16/12/2016 23:24

I went to the retail park to get plates, glasses etc from Ikea, and twitched slightly in there by adding two coverall bibs to the already stuffed stockings for my baby DGC, who do not even know what Christmas is. I then made the mistake of popping into Boots to get lipstick colourmatched and decided my grown up DD s needed more stocking fillers; and was sucked into the vortex of Toys R Us because the older DGC mentioned wanting Hungry Hippos to play on Christmas day. I came out £50 lighter....

Cagliostro · 16/12/2016 23:32

Oh god I am glad our new Smyths store is really out of the way (we don't drive) I'm sure it would be dangerous! Did you mean the toy shop alone was £50? I take it they weren't solid gold hippos... :o
