Sorry if stepping on toes, but I haven't noticed a twitch thread this year, so thought I would start one Smile
I've just twitched and bought a pair of heelys for ds(9), a ghostbusters proton pack for ds (4) and a candy grabber for dd (6). Tell me what you have all impulse bought.

That's not really a twitch, ohfuckoff if he needed his extra special present Xmas Wink

I'm in an uneven magic flannel situation - can only find princesses or Thomas, does anyone know anywhere that sells more of a variety, ie marvel etc for older kids?

OhFuckOff · 06/12/2016 12:05

Nearly they are lovely and floppy with big eyes, not very big but firm favourites here Smile

Satsuki you are right, it was t technically a twitch, it was an essential buy Xmas Wink

We usually got the flannels from Boots, they'd be in among the toys section as it's usually organised by character/brand. We've had Star Wars, Daleks etc. And they'll be in 3for2 offer 😁

OhFuckOff · 06/12/2016 12:31

Home bargains always have the flannels for 29p! All different character ones too.

Olecranon · 06/12/2016 19:35

Sainsburys had minion and Shopkins magic flannels

Arrowfanatic · 06/12/2016 19:54

I started to read this thread earlier, I shouldn't have. Just twitched to the tune of £46 at book people BUT they had the whole famous five set for £24 and I loved those as a kid so hoping my eldest will too. But of course it !eamt I has to get stuff for the other two as well. Must not twitch again, my bank balance can't handle it.

Cagliostro · 06/12/2016 19:59

I love Famous Five, they were my favourite growing up.

What did you get for the other two :o

Cagliostro · 06/12/2016 20:00

I'm sublimating my twitchy urges into getting DH's birthday presents sorted (it's mid Jan, so I generally prefer to have it sorted before Christmas anyhow)

SatsukiKusakabe · 06/12/2016 20:20

Thanks for the flannel tips - I had tried Boots and Tesco, Home Bargains us a bit of a trek and worried I'll be tempted by tat things in there but might have to get everyone I know a magic flannel at 29p! Sainsburys is a possibility thanks.

I managed to walk round a Tiger without buying anything on Sunday so feeling quite pleased with myself.

I stuffed their stockings today to see how much they had, and they did look on the light side....

Famous Five books are an investment. My ds loves the Secret Seven, saving FF for when he can read them himself.

Mrsmadevans · 06/12/2016 21:38

Mrsmadevans · 06/12/2016 21:50

OhFuckOff · 07/12/2016 04:18

OP posts:
Arrowfanatic · 07/12/2016 11:19

Satsuki yes, an investment. I like that!

The thing is, I want to twitch more! Haha. I love Xmas and I love getting people gifts but I know my bank will be less than happy sob

vikjul · 07/12/2016 11:32

I have twitched massively the past week and ordered lots of board games in addition to my already finished list...

Had already bought:

Takenoko
Dragonwood
Cardline Animals
Memoir 44

Have now somehow also ordered:

Indigo
Rhino Hero
Karuba
Telestrations
Survive: Escape from Atlantis
Mythe (irresistably cute little pop-up board!)

...but I will be passing some of them on to grandparents to give as presents. But still!

MiscellaneousAssortment · 07/12/2016 12:23

I have good news!

The Hatchimal came, and I got my money back for the Amazon marketplace Hatchimal debacle Xmas Grin The one thing worse than twitching is thwarted twitchery, spat least my twitching has come good!

Just to put a proverbial fly in the ointment of 'twitchy come right' my dearest darlingest beloved son didn't include any of the presents I've got him in his letter to Father Christmas (gnashes teeth)... fickle child.

MiscellaneousAssortment · 07/12/2016 12:24

I got an emoji flannel on Amazon btw

groovejet · 07/12/2016 21:51

I just ordered 2 books to go in my daughters stockings, but that is educational so doesn't really count.

But I really do need to get all the stocking stuff together as I am not sure if it will fit.

We have a Works in t own will have to check out the emoji lollies Grin

Cagliostro · 07/12/2016 23:24

Loving the games list Vik! Indigo is one of the most played games in our house and it's soooo pretty. Takenoko and Dragonwood are awesome too.

Excellent news re: hatchimal!

I've got to resist twitching for DD. A game I ordered - Dino hunt dice - hasn't come back into stock yet from amazon. But she does have plenty to open.

Haudyerwheesht · 07/12/2016 23:26

Today I have twitched on gumball machines for the DC, a notebook and pen for Dd, pants for ds, and candy stick sweets for the stockings .

MiscellaneousAssortment · 07/12/2016 23:47

Ok, I twitched again

... like I did last summer, ooo twitched again, like I did last year...

I've bought DS a Ludo cuddly toy, from Labyrinth which I'm delighted to say is his favourite film, as it is mine!

And the weirdest twitch is because after having steamed open DS letter to Santa, he asked Father Christmas if Santa or his elves could make DS a special present, so DS can give it to me! Sooo... I'm scouring the internet for my own surprise present! Talking elephants do not come cheap!

OhFuckOff · 08/12/2016 06:26

STOP... Where did you get the ludo teddy???!!!

OP posts:
MiscellaneousAssortment · 08/12/2016 16:24

Amazon Xmas Smile. Clearly it's for me as well as DS!

There are surprisingly few Labyrinth items out there... there should be more.

He's not quite right as his mouth is too sad at the corners, so I might get my needle and thread out to perk him up when he arrives... he's mournful and vulnerable rather than gloomy.

There is a hand felted Ludo on Etsy which is just amazing. And crazy expensive too sadly. Bet it took ages to make though, and the skill involved... wow.

The 'twitch'
Haudyerwheesht · 08/12/2016 22:32

Today I twitched quite a lot

Reindeer antlers for the car
4 tree decorations
A washing up brush that looks like a duck because Dd (6) loves doing the dishes
Pens that look like lightsabers

So you know, all essential stuff....

Mrsmadevans · 08/12/2016 22:48

omg I have had another go today.... bought RW tickets for dds I vowed I wouldnt spend anymore and then dd2 said 'oh mum do you remember when you said to me when we were little that you would take us to see RW in concert; well how could I not?
