New thread as this 1 is nearing the end now

The lady told me , transitional protect applies till your universal credit meet your last tax years and you will never be worse off , you only lose it with changes in circumstances .
I believe self employment only gets a year .
I've a sister on UC and friends on it and there money has stayed on par for years with what they were getting .
I'm hoping I hear about my son's DLA before I move over .
I spoke to DLA and she said I can't say whether it's with the assessor but your claim is imminent which means now 🤦my scan date was 27/10 so hopefully I hear this week .

You are very welcome. I was in the same situation as last year when my circumstances changed I hadn’t a clue what I was entitled to it’s the first time I had applied for benefits.

If you get MRC or HRC of DLA make sure you report this change and on your journal on UC as from what I’ve heard from others is that they only pay you the disabled child or carers element if you request it xx

Same as me and mine went to a DM on Thursday apparently x

Does anyone know the answer to this.. so with the benefit cap being 2 children I don’t get tax credits for my 3rd. My 3rd child is the one I am claiming Dla for. I’ve read that if you get awarded DLA the benefit cap doesn’t apply and I may be able to get tax credits for him. I’m not sure how true that is though. Anyone had a similar experience? I am also waiting for the move over to UC letter. Thanks xx

Scan date 16/11 2 letters no texts . Anybody around my date had no text ? Do they send them to all applicants?

I have 4 children, my last two being twins. Twin 1 gets DLA already (just done a coc forms end of Nov) I don't get tax credits for her as she's my third but I do get a disabled tax credit amount for her. Twin 2 is exempt from the third child rule so I get tax credits for him but I sent first claim for DLA for him (scanned 9th Nov) so I am waiting for that decision. I've never had tax credits as such for twin 1 but an added disability amount for her she is still exempt x

Thats good hopefully not long left 🤞cant bring myself to ring incase its a decline so nervous.

Ahh ok thanks for replying!! Do you mind me asking how much the disabled tax credit amount is please or does that depend on what rate DLA you get? Thanks xx

I'm going to call Monday so I'll let you know. But tbh I'm not feeling hopeful, seeing so many people get awarded way after our scan dates makes me feel like my son will be declined.

I'm 14/11 no txt either just 2 letters

Keep checking my phone as other around my date received texts.

My daughter gets approx £74.69 (Google will give deffo answer or someone else will) I don't think that rate will change even if her award changes. My daughter is 6 and has been getting MRC for nearly 2 years (severely autistic and learning disabilities, non verbal and no understanding etc) x
