Do decision makers work at the weekend??

JMommy2023 · 23/02/2024 19:15

Is it ok to do a MR on the phone? I don’t agree with my decision rate for care. My child requires HRC and not MRC as they have constant night time care needs and the clearly the DM did NOT even read my paperwork or even the notes on the system. They even paid money into old account even tho I changed it last first week in jan. I’m so deflated at all the extra stress with getting what my child deserves.

JMommy2023 · 23/02/2024 19:17

I’ve done it over the phone now and I asked for statements of reason also. Now 7 weeks wait extra and we all know that’s bull aswel 😡🤬

mummyof3girlsx · 23/02/2024 19:32

@Natbat87 I’m not 100% but I’m sure I read on one of these pages they have dm’s working later and Saturdays.. I’m sure people have had texts on Saturdays too but I could be wrong..x I know you can’t call at the weekend but I’m sure they have people working

Just wondering if Nobody can help me ... I know it's not really on the basis of my son's claims but... Maybe someone can offer some knowledge because I'm worried sick!!!

My son's have both recently had their awards passed and are now on dla.. I'm thrilled to say the least!
I've now got to migrate across to UC from tax credits as my deadline is next week!
Long story short.. I'm so afraid that it will mean I lose my tax credits that I've literally only just got because of my son's! I have zero idea how it all works 😢😢😢🥺🥺🥺
Is that right? Will i lose or get considerably less tax credits once moved across?
Sorry for the out of place post I've just been apart of this group for ages because of my lads.. I feel confused, anxious and lost with it all..
🥺😔 Xx

@TamGirl89 I don't have the answer to your question but citizens advice can help talk you though what happens when moving over to UC X

Mumtoothree30 · 23/02/2024 20:46

Have you gone onto the benefits calculator to check what you should be getting, if your migrating you will get either the same amount or more for UC you also get protection for 12 months moving over but you go about 5 weeks with no money as tax credits stop the day you go to UC and they take about 5 weeks to get a payment to you. I haven't moved over yet but know about it

Entitledto is a good one which I normally use they will show you what you should be getting on tax credits and what you should get for UC.
