Hi
haven’t had any text in 15wks now , what are the texts they send ?
are they just saying they dealing with claim etc ?

@PinkMoscatoLover
Well I've recieved a letter today dated 2nd October. With the legal requirements of me as his named person for his claim. I didn't get a cjce to phone today, but will phone Monday if I don't receive a letter tomorrow. As this letter only took 4 days to arrive.

No need to call if you’ve received a letter confirming the date that the award started:)

We are still looking at your DLA1 Child claim. When a decision is made we will confirm it in writing. There is no need to contact us about it.

We got mc and lm today at 17+1 day...over the moon though they will only back date till the scan date. Apparently it didn't get there in time...in reality it took them two weeks to scan.

Superbook7 · 06/10/2023 17:05

Congratulations! How did you find out you had been awarded.

Ririjade1990 · 06/10/2023 17:18

It's suppose to be awarded from the day you rang to make the claim.

zoeybrooks45 · 06/10/2023 17:35

@Ellejkjlljhb have you received any news if it’s with DM yet? I think we are same scan date x

Oh wow, did you call? I am 17 weeks on Wednesday so I’m so tempted to ring next Thursday x congratulations x

Northenmumof2 · 06/10/2023 17:59

Hi all, I got a text then phoned to check rates. I then questioned why it was only from scan date...they said cus it was after the six weeks and hung up...she was a very grumpy lady.

Northenmumof2 · 06/10/2023 18:01

I sent my forms after four weeks....aparrently it took three weeks to arrive and be scanned...

Oh no that’s not fair, what are these people like, did you send recorded or just the free post? As if you have proof of it getting there then you could argue it x congratulations though x

Mummytodo · 06/10/2023 18:19

They do take ages I posted mine on the 2nd June and wasn't scanned til the 15th if I was abit more aware I would have posted and got them signed for bet I would have had a decision by now if I did

I sent recorded on the 13th and was scanned on the 14th so they definately prioritise recorded x

Northenmumof2 · 06/10/2023 18:46

I sent free post but was working with welfare rights. I'm gonna put a complaint in but imagine nothing will happen. Everyone should send recorded if possible. Its £600 less...

Mumtotwoboys121 · 06/10/2023 18:50

@zoeybrooks45 @Tiredmamma74 @MummyBrx @Mummytodo looks like we may get a result next week 😬

Asdmummyhere · 06/10/2023 19:08

I agree, send recorded if possible, my form was late because the sen nursery teacher was on anual leave when it was due and I’ve wrote that on the form. However it cost me 11.13 to send next day delivery and not everyone has that. I sent on 29th June and it wasn’t scanned until 6th July. Yet they received it the next day

crazytimes20 · 06/10/2023 19:21

I sent it recorded and it was signed 23/7 and scanned onto their system 25/7. A few on here took weeks. Definitely best sent recorded.

I really hope so hope we all get good news.🤞 16 weeks today for me so still at least another week. I'm thinking it's likely to be week commencing 16th October I'll hear going off average wait times.

Mummytodo · 06/10/2023 20:00

As soon as I know I will post on here :)

I hope we do. I’m really poorly atm with diverticular disease so I’ve not really had a chance to worry about it. I’m sure by Wednesday I’ll be biting my nails 😬

Hope this weekend isn't too stressful for everyone either waiting for a decision or a md 🤗
It's going to be a nice weekend so hopefully the sunshine will help us all. (am trying to convince myself 🤣) ❤️

almightyfroggie · 06/10/2023 22:02

Does anyone know how long it takes for UC to respond/act on the backdated disabled child element?

creeve09011990 · 06/10/2023 23:07

Hi all- sorry if this has been covered but I don't think I can see anything, do they make decisions over weekend? My claim was sent to DM weds and I called today and still with them so I know helpline is closed but wondering if theres a chance I might have a result by Monday :)
Thanks
