@creeve09011990 backdated money won’t go in at the weekend but the decision can be made over the weekend, yes.

creeve09011990 · 07/10/2023 08:43

Ahh thank you! I should get a text then if a decision is made over weekend? X

Caitlyn59 · 07/10/2023 09:21

You might not get a text I rang Monday just gone. My claim was not with a decision maker. So I rang weds afternoon a decision had been made but I did not recieve a text x

MissHavershamReturns · 07/10/2023 09:53

Just got a new form and the deadline date on ours is Nov, so I’m guessing March to get a decision!

LizBennet · 07/10/2023 11:20

My son has been on DLA for the last 7 years @creeve09011990, I’ve never received a single text off them.
I also received the letter before the backdated money telling me my son has been moved to HRC and got the money in my account a few days later.

Mummytodo · 07/10/2023 11:48

The form I had was received in may but wasn't due til July I sent it in June and I think I'm due now. Guess it depends how many other people apply at the same time as you

Caitlyn59 · 07/10/2023 13:06

Hi
does anyone know if you are a single parent working if your claim is successful can you claim some kind of universal credit as this is first time claiming.

Yes, depending what level of care is awarded. Not sure of the figures as we will not be eligible if we are successful but you will get some help with Uc. X

BoyMumGirlMum2022 · 07/10/2023 13:28

@MummyBrx seems his claim is actually backdated from 2/6. As recieved the letter today.
So I'm thinking they've back dated it to the date his forms were signed. As our scan date was 17th June.
And yes he was awared middle rate care and high rate mobility.
Hope you hear sooner rather than later. Letters seem to take 4 - 5 days to arrive from when they were sent.

Caitlyn59 · 07/10/2023 13:31

How do you know have you got to apply by phoning for a form or do they write and tell you to claim.
thanks

MummyBrx · 07/10/2023 13:34

@BoyMumGirlMum2022

Are you sure your scan date is 17/6? Just thinking maybe it's earlier as your text dates are earlier than mine aswell.

God knows but whatever reason that's amazing news mrc & hrm did they say how long the award was for?

I'll be glad when the wait it over the closer it gets the more it drags.

Mummyrach13 · 07/10/2023 13:40

When were you awarded lovely? So please for you and your child. They backdate it to when you phoned for forms if you did it that way. My scan date is 26th June. I phoned for forms the 5th June. Anyone else getting more nervous as the days go on.

Did you get HRM under the VUW route seeing as your child got MRC and not HRC?

Oddsocks268 · 07/10/2023 14:09

I don't know why but they don't always backdate to the date you rang for forms I rang 12th May they backdated to 30th May my scan date was 2nd June xx

Charlotte19xxx · 07/10/2023 14:21

Hey guys, mine was stamped 16/06 and still waiting nearly on week 17 which seems to be when most have heard.. have anyone been awarded anything on this date yet? Or close to this date..
best of luck to you all? My daughter is 2 so with brain damage from birth and in middle of diagnoses from seizures.. I’m assuming it’s going to be hard to get granted anything.

BoyMumGirlMum2022 · 07/10/2023 15:30

@MummyBrx yeah, I've checked the letter I've got and 17/6 is definitely the date they have written on there.

2 years he's been awarded for. I guess because his is mainly to do with mobility it needs reviewing more regular incase he starts walking miraculously.

BoyMumGirlMum2022 · 07/10/2023 15:31

@PinkMoscatoLover
I don't know what VUW is?

Charlotte19xxx · 07/10/2023 16:34

congratulations!!
im 16/6 so there’s hope they’re in that time frame region then

Mumtotwoboys121 · 07/10/2023 17:04

yeah there’s a few of us next week at the 17 week mark so I’m hoping we start to hear from next week 😃

Caitlyn59 · 07/10/2023 17:07

Hi
does anyone know if you are awarded and you are a single parent working, how do you claim the disabled child element off universal credit.
thanks

MummyBrx · 07/10/2023 17:13

@BoyMumGirlMum2022 No idea then lucky must of got in fast track lane haha.

I see a lot getting awarded for 2 year I'm expecting same to be honest that's if we get awarded really hope I do cannot be bothered with MRs and Appeals sounds draining.

I'll update on here as soon as I know
Also be good to see what dates are awarded next week so please everyone keep us updated.

PinkMoscatoLover · 07/10/2023 17:14

@BoyMumGirlMum2022 VUW is virtually unable to walk. SMI is severe mental impairment. Those are the two routes you can go down in order to apply for HRM. You can’t get HRM under SMI if the child doesn’t get HRC so I was asking if you went down the VUW route. Don’t worry about it though, it can get confusing!

@Caitlyn59 anyone can apply for UC but it always depends whether you’re earnings will wipe out your award. Once your child is awarded then you can apply for UC however they won’t backdate any money as you didn’t have a valid UC claim at the time of the award. You can always sign up now and do a COC when your child is awarded to get some money backdated. I hope that makes some sense

LizBennet · 07/10/2023 17:26

I’m doing an MR for HRM, it’s absolutely nerve wracking 😭

MCcrazymummyx · 07/10/2023 17:33
