Hi I got awarded on Friday and my scan date was 31/5 and called for forms 16th may. I have received £1900 exactly back pay. Does anyone know what I will have been awarded? Thanks in advance 😁

Exactly same as me, same scan date, money in my account this morning and no text. I rang last Friday and was told I weren’t even with a DM yet

almightyfroggie · 04/10/2023 09:30

Morning guys! The wait is over for us. We got awarded her and lrm on 2nd October! That's 17+3. I am so relieved, it will help her so much! I obviously cried on the phone 😭

I know how to ask UC for backdate of the disabled child element, but what about carers element? I'm a carer for my youngest already and get carers allowance for her. Am I still entitled to the carers element on UC?

Best of luck to everyone and thank you for your support ❤

17+1 and just rang to get the most arrogant man I think I’ve ever spoken to :( told me the minimum wait is 18, I’ll be lucky to have a decision by next week, and firmly told me not to call back until after next week is over with. I understand the backlog but remembering we are humans at the other end of the phone would be nice! Feeling super deflated this morning!

Ugh some of them are absolute cocks I’m afraid 😤
I received the letter before the backdated payment from DLA, I always thought the letter came after.

I am sorry to hear you had a bad experience. It’s always hit and miss with these call handlers and some lack empathy Hopefully he was exaggerating and you will hear shortly. Can I ask scan date? Sending hugs xx

This is ridiculous, there’s no need at all. Sorry he was so horrible to you xx

MrsMacmumto6 · 04/10/2023 10:15

It’s just the lack of updates that’s frustrating. I’ve spoken previously and got lovely call handlers I think he was having a bad morning but still not acceptable xx

MrsMacmumto6 · 04/10/2023 10:17

6th of June scan date xx

PookyBoo77 · 04/10/2023 10:25

@almightyfroggie oh yay! So happy for you! Hoping the rest of us 02/06 scan dates will hear soon too 🤞 congratulations xx

Hello, I've woken up to a notification an incoming payment to my account from dla. I can't seem to work out rates of what my sons been awarded. Is there anyone who could help?
Scan date was 17/6 so @MummyBrx you should hear soon too!

Oh wow. Congratulations. Did you send much evidence? I’m 14/6 and getting increasingly anxious of a decline x

Omg that's amazing news I wasn't expecting later June dates until another couple of weeks yet. Hopefully I hear by 16th October got all my fingers and toes crossed and sending positive energy out into the universe to manifest a payment into my account soon or a text saying my daughter has been awarded 😂😂

Mommyof42021 · 04/10/2023 10:46

Hi I don’t mean to be nosy my scan date was 16/6 was yours a straight forward claim as I was hoping to hear back soon. My youngest already gets DLA as he is autistic but I am waiting to hear back about my son with epilepsy. Thanks

ahahblueeyes · 04/10/2023 11:15

I'm along the same lines as you... 4/5 ao long wait here too :(

Lozzy2000 · 04/10/2023 11:19

16 weeks today for us, hoping this wait comes to a end soon😫🩵

zoeybrooks45 · 04/10/2023 11:31

The wait is worse hearing people after you getting awarded. But I think they are DMs faster than others. How are people seeing notifications for incoming payments? I don’t have that feature.

MummyBrx · 04/10/2023 11:57

I think @BoyMumGirlMum2022 has been extremely lucky to get awarded at 15 weeks.

Like so many piles will of gone to DMs maybe that particular one is quicker working.

Most awards have been around 17/18 week mark we are nearly there now

Good luck to everyone and congrats @almightyfroggie

BoatsAndHoes · 04/10/2023 12:09

Scan date 25/5 and heard nothing since a text on 21st August saying it's still being looked at, I've tried 5 times this morning to call for an update and have been cut off every time. 19 weeks tomorrow.

BoyMumGirlMum2022 · 04/10/2023 12:14

@Mumtotwoboys121 I did send in quite a bit. As its a complicated medical diagnosis for my son.
No formal diagnosis though, a lot of back and forth for the last 3 and a half years.

@MummyBrx yes I was very surprised! Hopefully soon you will hear.
I can't make any rates work, possibly because the new and old.
He was awarded £2,364.70

Congratulations, I think it does help if you have a decent amount of evidence. Much deserved 😍 x

PookyBoo77 · 04/10/2023 12:42

Hi all, scan date 02/06, my son has just been awarded MRC. So pleased for him. Just for reference in case any other parents on here still waiting with a child with the same diagnosis, my son has type 1 diabetes. Good luck to all those still waiting, it’s an emotional rollercoaster but hang on in there xx
