Mythica87 · 02/10/2023 22:07

Hi, long time reader of mumsnet, first time posting. Does anyone have July as their scan date? Mines 28/7 (3 days before the cut off they gave me) I had to ring them up after 2 weeks to find out my scan date, I've since had a letter just to say they haven't made a decision yet. Got a long wait ahead. Fingers crossed for everyone 💜

crazytimes20 · 02/10/2023 22:24

@Mythica87 hi, yes my scan date is 25/7. I also had to ring 4 weeks after I sent my forms off as I didn't receive a text or letter. I've since had 2 letters and 1 text from them. It's such a long wait!!! I'm 10 weeks tomorrow.

Mythica87 · 02/10/2023 22:38

@crazytimes20 it is, August and September felt like the longest months ever lol. Hopefully the wait will be over before Christmas 🤞

Daryl54 · 02/10/2023 22:39

@Muva306 fingers crossed you hear very soon & good luck xxxx

crazytimes20 · 02/10/2023 22:43

@Mythica87 oh I hope so!! Going off everyone else's dates and what he told me over the phone, I've worked out it could be the end of November but I'm going to expect December just so I don't drive myself mad. I really hope it is over by Christmas. I hope it's good news for you. Fingers crossed.

Ngreen84 · 02/10/2023 22:54

I’m 24 weeks tomorrow been told hopefully a decision by end off month making it 28 weeks

Sskanf · 02/10/2023 23:18

Yes early July, I phoned up today to add change of contact was told July claims will get looked at in December!

Billie1993 · 03/10/2023 01:39

@crazytimes20 and @Mythica87 my scan date for my daughter is 12-07-23 will be 12 weeks tomorrow for me. But going by what others have said it should get to a DM by week 17/18 and could be up to anything from some days or 2 weeks after it’s been with the DM for a decision to have been made. Hopefully we don’t have to wait till December to find out though x

crazytimes20 · 03/10/2023 05:18

@Sskanf oh really?! I was hoping for the end of November. I really hope it's sorted before Christmas.

Chels2020 · 03/10/2023 06:27

Scan date 31/05 new claim awarded last Thursday back payment received today xxx

Sskanf · 03/10/2023 06:28

My dates 11/07 I've had 2 letters and 1 txt so far, apparently they've got an overflow of claims and less staff. Let's see as they're also working weekends we can possibly get a response in Novemeber. Think they just tell us the latest date possible to avoid calls

KayUMB · 03/10/2023 06:33

Morning everyone, I have been a long time watcher on these threads. My scan date was 30th May for my 5 year old son. Who is currently awaiting a referral for possible ?ADHD & ASD?. I was going to ring up today to see what was happening, adamant he would be denied because I sent no evidence other than a speech and language referral and no body filled the form in other than me. I've woke up today to a backpack of £3087.60 which I believe to be HRC and LM. I haven't reviewed a letter or to tell my my decision yet. Good luck to you all. Just thought I would update for the people that have a similar scan date to me 😊

Sskanf · 03/10/2023 06:42

Wow thats amazing congratulations you must be relieved the wait is over for you. I've also only sent in a SALT report and school SENCO filled I'm her bit on form thats it. The form I filled without any help too so was nervous

almightyfroggie · 03/10/2023 07:35

Congrats @KayUMB !

Mumtotwoboys121 · 03/10/2023 07:47

Getting more and more anxious as time goes on 🫣 16 weeks tomorrow so hoping we hear something soon. Congratulations to all receiving the good news 🤩

MummyBrx · 03/10/2023 07:56

Congrats to everyone getting the good news.

Scan date 16/06 so maybe a couple of weeks yet fingers crossed.

I've had 2 letters and 2 texts

Texts were 21st Aug & 12th Sept

Looks like a lot of 30/31 May dates have been awarded last week.
Hope to see some early June dates coming through this week

KayUMB · 03/10/2023 08:14

Have you had your decision yet? I really didn't think he was going to get it. Don't get me wrong he's very challenging and deserves it and I went into massive detail about his needs. I think there was about 4 extra bits of paper I sent explaining him but the lack of evidence from professionals had me thinking he would be denied.

KayUMB · 03/10/2023 08:17

Thankyou and also I would love to know how they work the scoring system. My daughter who is ASD and sensory problems is 10x worse than my boy. at 11 she still needs help bathing, getting dressed and doing most things because of the feelings of stuff, she is basically just so much more complex than my him but she gets MRC and LM. Personally I think there awards should be the other way round 🤷🏾‍♀️ I wonder if it's just who's desk it ends up on and how they are feeling on the day 😅

Congrats on the award! I also agree it does seem to matter who’s desk it’s on and how are they feeling that day. Let’s hope to hear lots more awards this week for early June. I think most get back Tuesday/Wednesday by the looks of previous post. I am 16 weeks and the waiting is just getting more difficult and exhausting.

L23 · 03/10/2023 10:04

phoned this morning my daughter has been awarded 😭😭😭😭😭😭2nd June scan date!

muddlingalong · 03/10/2023 10:13

Is it normal to get texts / letters? I got a letter to say they'd received my forms and scan date and that it would take 15 weeks. I've heard nothing since and yesterday was 15 weeks. Assume there is no point calling and I just need to be patient? (I'm assuming we are a simple application - we have a letter from the hospital stating that he can't walk and won't ever get better)
