Oh my gosh….was awarded this morning! Middle Care, Lower Mobility! Wait for letter! Oh, I am sooo pleased I can finally put in extra support for him. Thank you and everyone else in here keeping me sane while the past 3 weeks have been hell! For all…my story lol….
Sent forms in with a Paediatrician letter stating Autism traits and a Speech and Language Report just indicating his speech needs, no mention of Autism. And that was all for evidence. I filled the form in myself with the school input of just his speech needs-of course-no other help but this was expected. (School are not helpful) Had a letter dated 17th of June to say my scan date was 01st June. No others letters or phone calls or texts. I did ring after 15 weeks to check they had my form-they did. I called 16+6 weeks to be told not with DM. I called again 17+1 (Friday morning just gone) was with DM. Decision made this morning-17+3. I am unbelievably relieved and glad I don’t have to wait anymore. Be happy to see it in writing but hey, that’s what the man said. This page has been a god send! Thank you all so much. I’m totally deflated now. I finally got through and they don’t think my daughter requires extra care which is ridiculous because she needs medication every 6 hours to live and constant supervision to make sure she doesn’t hurt herself because any injury could land her in hospital in crisis and kill her if not treated 😞

@Lilypad22 So have they said your claim has been declined? I’m so sorry to hear this. Have you asked for a detailed break down and to start the MR process? It sounds to me like you have a strong case to appeal this decision x

@CHDmumma i am so relieved I do not need to call again. MRC, LRM. Awarded for 2 years. Back pay form the 1/6. Next payment 31st. I’m so relieved! Xxx

Omg 24 weeks wait🙈 is this for a new claim aswell, I hope you get a decision real soon. I’m only 17+3 today, still not with a dm x

This was for mobility claim , he already gets middle for care . But yer 24 weeks crazy all I get told is 26 weeks but decision has to be made by 28 weeks

Omg 😭 it’s 19weeks today I’ve just called asked if they had received my extra correspondence they confirmed they had after an hour waiting in the phone he then confirmed my LB has been awarded and details are in the post…. I had to reconfirm that was just what he had just said he confirmed this has been the most excruciating wait I have just broke down in tears like a big weight lifted this is going to help me support him in so many ways. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone sharing there experiences it has really helped 🫶🏼

Just called for Coc the man was really nice saying it's around 27 week wait but he said times do seem to be coming down so maybe couple weeks sooner x

Just reseved high rate for my 2 year old son so yes definitely worth a go my son just turned 2 on 18th of September scan dait 30.05 woke up Friday to back pay xx

Hi,
I rang today scan date is 2/06. The man I spoke to called Robert he was lovely! Said that claims are going to a d.m 17 and half weeks and then a week from there really so by next week should have a answer.. He did say dms are supposed to text if awarded- he also said it can take slightly longer if they need to contact for medical advice or people put down on forms. He said given how much evidence and info I've supplied they shouldn't need to. He said I should know by next week. But I see some june dates being done and hope it's done this week. He said when they get given them if there straight forward not needing to contact anyone it can be quick If they need to it goes into another pile, which can they take longer. So if dm picks up tomorrow and has enough info can award straight away If they don't can make the process take longer as the need to ring people etc..
It took me 1hr and 20 mins to get through. X
