@jaymum12 08000232635 that's the number they called me from

Harmb · 28/09/2023 19:26

@Mamto3boysX thankyou! I called 2 days ago and was told it wasn't will a DM and I would be waiting at least 2 weeks but got a phonecall later on today with some questions and was told I was awarded! So hopefully you'll be very soon!x

Harmb · 28/09/2023 19:28

@Mummytodo thankyou! I have received 2 in total! Then received a text tonight after the phone call to say I had been awarded x

Ellejkjlljhb · 28/09/2023 19:46

@zoeybrooks45 she was diagnosed by the paediatrician as asd and scored 14 I'm not sure what that means and they didn't explain much she is 3 and half so it's hard to get evidence she does have 3 hours a week 1-1 at nursery of the 8 hours she goes but she started after I sent the forms off so all I had was her diognosis assement to send like how do you prove your child doesn't sleep more than 2 hours at a time she is still in pull ups because she doesn't know she's wet and would sit in it all day that she has behaviours day and night she lacks understanding like she can communicate her needs 70 percent of the time which is a massive improvement from 6 months ago but doesn't understand what we say to her it's hard to understand what she's saying most of the time if its not echolalia and last week she wouldn't speak at all she was a dog the entire week she will only eat pizza crisps and doughnuts now so most nights I'm having to re cook her a meal this is new tho as she used to have a limited diet but would eat 3 different meals I could rotate but how exactly do thwy expect you to prove it ? At 3 all this stress on top of now my 20 month old who is non verbal atm and self harming having to have an asd assessment too being told I need to separate them as my oldest 3year old is triggering my younger child and causing her distress I think I'm actually gonna have a melt down myself dla situation is make or break on whether I can separate them just so stressful

My scan date is 25/5. Still haven’t heard so going to call tomorrow x

@Chels2020
Think we are pretty much in the same boat with a day difference. I can’t call again, it stresses me out. Unless I hear otherwise, I won’t be calling again untill next Thursday. (My 18 week mark) As said, not with DM yesterday so unless I get a text in the next couple of days, I won’t hear anything anyway till next week. It’s been a long 3 weeks! Didn’t give the first 15 weeks much thought, but since the week 15 mark….I’m over thinking, over stressing! Haven’t got support from school. Doing my head in 😂🙈 Hope you hear something soon. Keep me posted xxx

I think we are my coc claim went through today after 27 weeks that’s been a killer my son can’t walk so can’t understand the wait but glad he got what he deserves today and the new claim oh god don’t my son is 4 awaiting autism school are a constant nightmare keep sending him home etc no support from them at all in the slightest! Hang on in there I’m phoning again next week now given up chasing them the rang me today about my other sons claim and did apologies for the wait and I did recommend an online tracking etc the guy was great but just replies yeah we wish so dosnt look much hope
I’ll keep the thread updated for you xxx

Mummyof6love · 28/09/2023 21:29

@Chels2020 ah, I’m glad you finally got the. COC sorted….it’s ridiculous how long that takes!
I had the school fill in the part about ‘someone who knows the child’ and all they put was his speech needs and that was all. So if DM speak with school about his needs they ain’t gonna be much help. He had a meltdown yesterday as I had car trouble so was late getting him so he had to go into after school club. Change in routine and all that. You can imagine. I’m just gonna hold out till next week and hope for the best. Just losing confidence the longer it takes. ☹️ Will keep you posted too xxx

Mae1999 · 28/09/2023 21:49

Also has anyone had issues with the Facebook group dla child support and advice all my post seem to get declined although breaking no rules I honestly think the admins just pick and choose who can post or not weather they break the rules or not

Mumtotwoboys121 · 28/09/2023 21:52

I left the fb page after reading the updated rules not very good support at all!
fantastic news about a June claim being responded to and just goes to show being told it would be another 2 weeks but hearing a positive response a few days later 👏🏻 makes me wonder if the call handlers even know what’s happening with our claims lol.
I won’t be calling again til the 18 week mark as it was even stressful being on hold yesterday despite calling at 9am. Feel like trying to gather more evidence just incase we have to go to MR.
I received an email from our county council yesterday to say they had received a request for an EHCP assessment so I suppose I can add that in 🤦🏼‍♀️ x

Stressedsoph1 · 28/09/2023 22:54

every time I tried to post on the Facebook page I was getting my posts refused. the new page rules are massively OTT not least because some seem to get away with posts contravening them on a daily basis

Stressedsoph1 · 28/09/2023 22:54

if started to think it was just me

Mae1999 · 28/09/2023 23:39

Me to I ended up leaving because it was starting to stress me out that others with similar post was been approved

Chels2020 · 29/09/2023 06:29

Morning good luck to everyone today…

I was wanting to know I’ve had dla for 3 years always been paid Tuesdays now I’ve been awarded a coc will my payments date change so I have it wrote down when it comes into my bank and part of it goes to a savers account via standing order will the weeks change and how will I work it out from when the back payment is made?

sorry in advance if it dosnt make sense

Mummyof31987 · 29/09/2023 07:25

congratulations think I might try again today then I’m 27/3 what did they ring you for? X

Jaymum12 · 29/09/2023 07:55

Good morning, fingers crossed for you all. Today I woke to back pay! Yay looks like my boy has been awarded MC and LM, pleased I don’t have to phone 😆 all I sent in was his ASD diagnosis report as evidence, I didn’t get anyone to fill in any sections so was feeling a bit deflated thinking he’d be declined but alas, I’ve done enough. Very happy.

Scan date 25/5, so 18+1 wks.

Can I tell UC now or do I need to wait for a letter?

Good luck to you all xx

PookyBoo77 · 29/09/2023 08:26

Morning all, I do hope some of you get some happy news today! I am scan date 02/06 so 17 weeks today and still waiting for news. I struggle to ring when I am at work as I work within the NHS and barely get a minute to myself so if anyone with a similar scan date rings today, please can you let me know any updates? Thank you so much 😊

Give them a go today the guy rang me and said he’d awarded my little boy explained why and told me payment will be released basically just a courtesy call good luck xxx

Chuggychall · 29/09/2023 09:21

Good morning All.

Scan date 26/05/2023 - Called this morning and been advised that a decision has been made on claim on 26/09/2023 and it has been refused - Decision doesn't make sense to me as DD was previously in receipt of DLACH and DLAML without a diagnosis, and now she has the official diagnosis and support in place at school and still has the same medication. I supplied lots of evidence with my forms and put it lots of information. They didn't even call the school or the carers that help with my DD overnight - Does anyone know if I need to wait for the letter to submit a Reconsideration as the decision this time just makes absolutely no sense?

CHDmumma · 29/09/2023 09:29

I called 2 days ago, got told it was with a DM and since I've been on edge. This feels worse than the 17 week wait, my gut is telling me he's been denied 😔
