DLA wait times Part 13

I see thread 12 is full. Is there a Part 13 already, or shall we make this it?

Hi yes me still waiting also I’ve had two texts now since sending the new claim in and still nothing from the previous ones looks like we’ve another few weeks yet I’m not going to chase untill October now

Yeah I was going to wait until maybe the first few weeks in October before chasing. I never thought I would worry or stress over something like this because what will be will be and all that but it's stressing me abit now.

Do you have anything that states you have to check such and such hours or through the night I would send your logs though as they except diaries for care

Forms for renewal sent off last week claim is due to end 9/1
The wait times have come down for new claims it took 22 weeks for my original

Scan date 9/5 was awarded yesterday.

It’s an absolute nightmare everyday I’m hoping and praying it’s worse now the children are at school I had been occupied through the holidays hopefully we hear soon and it’s positive news

Just got off the phone to dla he said its going to DM next week around the 15th so gonna ring up next Friday scan date 19/5 new claim

I honestly don’t think there’s any point in chasing unless it goes past the 18 weeks for new claims (unless there’s confusion or something urgent you need to ask). I had letters and multiple texts all saying they are dealing with it and not to contact them. If you haven’t had confirmation of them receiving the claim thats different. It just ends up with them on the phone more, different wait times etc given to everyone, more confusion. I know it’s annoying waiting, I too was tempted but I don’t think calling speeds up the process.

Just received a text to say my son qualifies! Scan date 10/05 so 17 weeks today. Good luck to those waiting

It’s so hard not to when you see dates after you being awarded though. I’m not until June but I’ve just seen on the Facebook page someone being awarded from the 22nd May x

Same I just seen that giving me some hope there catching up after the holidays x

Omg! I sent in some extra information by special delivery (so they can scan straught away) and the proof of delivery photo is scary! 😭

Hi I apply for my daughter dla 3 months ago when she was 15 now she is 16 still haven’t heard anything scan date is 02/05 I’m not sure they gonna give her dla or she have to apply for pip

So difficult not to stalk the page daily. Now I’ve found this one I’m forever stalking both 😳 ha ha hope we hear some news soon. X

@Amss maybe in that situation give them a call? If your scan date was 2/5 I'm sure you should've heard by now. Good luck 🙂

@Amss I'm in the same situation. When I called 3 weeks ago I raised this as my son was 16 end of Aug. They told me if he is awarded it will be until his 17th birthday but during that time PIP will send me forms to be completed. So I'm hoping it will be a smooth transition.
Although I'm still waiting on a decision 😕

@Amss my son was 2/5 and awarded last week, running until his 17th birthday. I didn't get a text but got a letter this morning. Hopefully they will have an answer if you ring them or you'll get a letter through soon.

You could try calling just to see the outcome. What was your scan date again? I think your the same as me 15/5?

The phone lines are busy I will try a little later my anxiety is sky high

Hi scan date 17/5 . Just phoned lady was lovely.still not with a decision maker.she said a decision should be made by the end of this month at latest but could before! 😮

I m scan date 18/5, I m hoping they re just overestimating to avoid more calls, it does seem like there's people that have heard for the 15th so got to be that ours are the next batch for decision makers.

Im hoping to have a decision by week 17 going by other awards! 🤞. Its so hard this wait.my boy is 5 and has bilateral renal dysplasia and stage 3b chronic kidney disease and although mobile needs alot of care day and night/medication/8 week blood test and check up at childrens hospital to manage the condition and displays alot of symtoms related to both. But im so convinced i wont get anything and this wait is the worst!!! I have my fingers crossed for you🤞
