DLA wait times Part 13

I see thread 12 is full. Is there a Part 13 already, or shall we make this it?

@Chels2020 wow that’s absolutely shocking, how can it go from 16wks to 28wks, no doubt in the meantime they will add more weeks on, they need a better system where we can check online or where they can update us. Really hope you’re not waiting the full 28wks xx

My family support worker said
if it hits 28 weeks we’re making a complaint as previously stated my little boy can’t walk so can’t understand this wait they have known it was coming it’s a birth defect with his legs

and @Mumofkidsx3 i like the weekly money as I go to and from Manchester and Preston with my little boy and appointments can be late notice so it helps me that way but thankyou :) xxx

@Chels2020 god and here’s me moaning about waiting 18wks. I really hope they hurry it through for your little boy, he’s quite clearly in much need of it, how they can make you wait that long is beyond shocking. He should defo be a priority xx

@Chels2020 🥰 it’s really crazy keeping your little lad waiting 28 weeks and it makes no sense because COC should be less complicated and quicker really. 🤦‍♀️ I really hope it get sorted soon for you

I know lady’s the wait is killing me and him we got his wheelchair yesterday and obviously they don’t come with rain covers etc but he’s use to having this with his pushchair but because he’s got tethered cords in his spine and lucky he didn’t have further spinal issues he isn’t allowed to be sat in a pushchair anymore it doesn't support him enough and the hood and rain-cover is going to cost me over £200 for his wheelchair so really hoping it’s sorted soon so I can het it him before the bad weather starts

I am at 17 weeks tomorrow for my little boys new claim he’s awaiting asd special inclusion finding already in place school on board cos they keep sending him home because they can’t staff him he eats everything he can get in his mouth verbal which is a blessing for me he runs into roads climbs bookshelves etc at school the lost is endless so hoping we get double good news these next few weeks

@Mumofkidsx3 @Hmcc123 can’t believe it, they messaged me at 8.30 just as I was leaving for the school run so completely wasn’t expecting it at that time. It says on the txt I don’t need to contact then, should I still ring to ask the rates or wait for the letter ? Do I update UC now or when I get the letter? Hmcc123 are you calling this morning?? Currently sitting in the macmilan centre with my mum had a daughter refusing to go school but had to make her as she doesn’t know about mum as she wouldn’t handle well trying to hold all together if I don’t get awarded don’t think I can fight a mr right now 😂😭😩❤️

Hi had anyone been awarded dla due to baby having spinabifida!? I sent off all the evidence of extra care needs but feel like it's going to be refused as he is only 9 months

I’m 17 weeks Thursday. Can anyone around the 1st of June scan date keep me posted please? I have had nothing from them. No extra letters or any texts. I’m not hopeful ☹️
However, congrats to all who have had their decision and been waiting longer. Must be such a relief. Since week 15, it’s been driving me insane not knowing. Well done all xxx

I’m week 15 on Thursday. I don’t know how I’m gonna get through the next couple of weeks without calling for update. I’ve seen a few done that were scanned around the same date as me so I’m wondering if I’ll get lucky

@Mummyof6love do you have any idea when my scan date would be if I sent of the forms then forgot to sign them so they sent them back giving me 3 weeks to get them back to them, would it be from the first time they received them or the second!? Hope you get your decision this week! 🤞
