New thread for DLA wait times part 12 please inform information others may feel helpful in their wait wait times are currently looking at being
15-17 weeks for DLA new claims.

@INWright hi yes you have too inform uc too get the disability child element on your uc

@INWright do a change or ring them make sure you put the date awarded from not the date u got the letter they should backdate it because even tho you get dla you can also get universal side of disability the only thing they take money off uni is because carers but you can have normal carers and they’re carers so it balances out really

@Weenie1993 it can take a few week they might ring and ask what took so long for you to do it but no fault of your own they just don’t like parting with money 😂

Hi I’m new to all this and have recently applied for Dla for my child. We don’t currently receive any universal credits. Me and my partner both work and don’t qualify. If I were to get Dla? would it be wort me re-applying for UC? Would I suddenly qualify for extra help. Or is this only if you are already on UC?

Glad others are having better luck! 17/4 scan date nothing here. When I called I was told it went to a DM last Wednesday and they get 7 days in which to make a decision. Hopeful that we hear back by Friday, if not at some point early next week.

it was a renewal and it was from 25th May(25/05).

We got awarded today and scan date was 21/4

So a
Coc is taking 25-27 weeks
renew is taking 12-15 weeks
new claims taking 16-18 weeks
on average
how long is the wait on MR anyone aware of this?

Hello, scan date 9th May for renewal. Can I ask you all who have been told September you will find out is this for a renewal or a new claim? I called a couple of weeks ago and was told I would get a decision right at the time my current award is due to run out (26th August) Wondering if maybe that isn’t the case and it will be a longer wait now… thank you.

Hi I am waiting for 2 new claims my son had an orthotics appointment yesterday and have been told due to his flexabilty/hyper mobility he needs to wear splints all the time obviously I didn't put this on his form just that he had an appointment is it worth me ringing up to inform them of this change? Or shall I wait till I have the evidence to send them? Sorry never claimed before so not sure what to do for the best

When was your claim scanned?

I called and added on the info. When you receive the letter send it into them

Was scanned 19/05 so will be 13 weeks on Friday

I've been waiting since 26/4 they are just very behind. Phoning to add info won't delay

Wow that’s crazy! Is yours for a renewal as well? When is yours due to finish? I might give them another ring see what they say this time!

Just rung them and the man told me I have to wait till I have the evidence to send them to add it to my claim 🤷‍♀️

Hi all, newbie here :) Hope you are all well. I just wanted to come on and say i have just got off the phone to DLA and they have told me claims from July 2023 wait times are 17 weeks. Hope this is helpful :)

Our scan date is 14/6… I’ve seen people on the Facebook page being awarded from May now so I have no idea how they do it. Really hope we all hear soon x

How do you know when your documents were scanned please? We sent our new claim on 24/05 but only got a text message rece tly saying that they are still looking at the claim. Thanks
