I’ve been catching up on this thread, it’s agony waiting for someone to tell you that your child qualifies when you struggle everyday meeting their demanding needs. My scan date was the 13/06 so hopefully not long to go now. Hope everyone is doing well, and keeping positive x

Emma1620 · 30/08/2023 09:34

Daughter had just been declined MR been told I will have to go to tribunal 🙄

Chels2020 · 30/08/2023 09:36

That’s so sad! Stay strong may I ask what your circumstances are?

zoeybrooks45 · 30/08/2023 09:39

Sorry to hear that, did your daughter have a diagnosis?

Stressedsoph1 · 30/08/2023 09:40

Wigswaddis · 30/08/2023 09:48

So I just called because I’m impatient and was told completely differently from yesterday that it could be another couple of weeks. Just had a text now to say he’s qualified. I don’t know anymore than that but I’m over the moon I wasn’t expecting it at all. Scan date 02/05

StanleyParents · 30/08/2023 10:08

Scan date is 5/5 so hopefully will be with dm this week I'd hope, will ring on Friday to see what's happening!

zoeybrooks45 · 30/08/2023 10:10

Congrats! Can I ask if your child had a diagnosis?

Wigswaddis · 30/08/2023 10:18

No diagnosis, suspected adhd. I sent a sen plan and that was it. I’m just on the phone annoying them for details as the text only says he’s qualified.

Chels2020 · 30/08/2023 10:18

So I’ve had yet another text saying they are still looking at my claim and no need to call no idea which child it’s with regards to as I’ve got one in with a coc from March and new claim from 31/05 hoping that may is getting done now by the looks of it a few weeks left to go fingers crossed for everyone :)!

Brilliant news!!!
Still can't believe I haven't had anything back for my son yet!
I don't even want to call as I know how long it will take to get through

Wigswaddis · 30/08/2023 10:25

When was your scan date again? There are people on the Facebook group from mid April, I can only imagine the frustration of seeing people with scan dates weeks after being awarded.

25/04 scan date and it's very frustrating but I'm happy that people are getting answers! Just want to know now 🤣

Mine is 14/06 so be waiting with you!

Charz94 · 30/08/2023 11:14

Scan date 02/05. Currently with a decision maker. Good luck to all of you and well done for those whose child/children have been awarded!🤞

Wigswaddis · 30/08/2023 11:21

Just got through and he’s been awarded higher rate care and lower rate mobility. I can’t quite believe it.

zoeybrooks45 · 30/08/2023 11:28

By the sounds of it we are looking at a decision in four weeks, based on this thread as currently being awarded 02/05. Fingers crossed. Has your child received a diagnosis? Mines currently doesn’t have a diagnosis for his non verbal ASD. however, alongside that has sensory processing disorder and is deaf and wears a hearing aid while waiting for surgery. I did send off quite a few reports from SALT, audiology and ENT. But since applying occupational therapy has been assessing and seeing him which I am going to send further evidence to support this. Under 3, so just waiting to hear back from the care component, wbu?

zoeybrooks45 · 30/08/2023 11:28

You must be so relieved, definitely deserve every bit x

Lt88 · 30/08/2023 11:35

Anyone else waiting for change of circumstances. Scan date 9th March. 26 weeks now....

Wigswaddis · 30/08/2023 11:40

No Alex has no diagnosis. He’s always been very hard work and at 9 it takes hours to get him to sleep and he’s always up before 6, I was desperately I’ll with a blood clot on my lung when he was born so for a long time I thought that was just him being over indulged then it became obvious his behaviour wasn’t right.

Chocolateandstrawberries · 30/08/2023 11:55

trace34567 · 29/08/2023 18:04

sounds very like both of ours. eldest already gets HRC and LRM. they both suffer massive trauma and anxiety. hoping youngest gets what he needs soon as our scan date is 2/5 too.

Wigswaddis · 30/08/2023 12:01

Massive shock and relief. Fingers crossed for your little lad.
