New thread for DLA wait times part 12 please inform information others may feel helpful in their wait wait times are currently looking at being
15-17 weeks for DLA new claims.

loving seeing all these positive stories is everyone finding out by ringing. I'm too nervous to call

Congrats to those awarded today. My scan date is also 2/5.

What happens if I don't ring up? How quickly do you find out otherwise?

Well the lady said to me my decision was made on the 24th so why I’ve only found out now by ringing 🤷🏽‍♀️ she also said I should of received a payment which I haven’t yet so maybe tomorrow.
I think a payment will happen before you get the awarded letter if you don’t phone

I just spoke to DLA and the woman said some people saying their claims getting pushed to the top for waiting so long are lying, she's seen it on the Facebook groups and said it's a load of rubbish. 🙈

She said it's now gone up to 18 weeks to go to a decision maker.

I got awarded same day and I've still got no payment. No idea what rate either

22/5?? Mine 24/5 so hopefully not long xx

I’m just hoping I’ve put down the right details, she did say something about if I don’t receive it then to call back but can’t remember within how many days she said as I was really struggling to hear her.

as per a previous response it is the caseworker who allocates jobs to decision makers today decision makers are working around 2nd to 3rd May scan dates so still a couple of weeks at a guess

Hi all the people who are start MAY my sons date is 25/04 and we still haven't heard anything.
I've seen a post on FB a few other people end of APRIL are still waiting to hear. Just hang in there might be a few more weeks yet 😊

Hi, not sure if you know, but you can apply for the mobility element once your child turns 3. I dont think they do the three tiers like care though. :-)

Can i please ask what your scan date was
Feeling very anxious mine was the 2/6 took them a week to acknowledge

mines 2/5 and as far as I'm aware hasn't been seen yet thank you very much. if you know differently then I'd love to hear it.
as an aside I was just trying to be helpful and pointing out what someone had explained earlier that case workers and decision makers have 2 different roles case workers allocate the workload to decision makers who make the decisions.
this was pointed out as the person who mentioned 22/5 had posted that their claim was with a case worker in order to clarify this wouldn't be the person making the decision

3-5 working days hun.
so friday being the 1st, monday wouldnt count as bank holiday, today being 2nd, fingers crossed tomorrow.
mine went in on the 3rd day. Only received mine last week from march xx

Sadly no payment. I suppose the weight has been lifted with knowing my son had been awarded I can wait 🤣

My scan date was the 2/5 I phoned yesterday and was told I was awarded on the 24th august.
I didn’t want to call but was watching the thread yesterday and gave in 😅

My scan date is 02/05. It went to a DM on Friday. I’m way beyond anxious but I’ve been pretty chilled about it until now because in reality I’m not expecting it as we had little evidence and no diagnosis as of yet. I can’t call and pester again as I called yesterday haha.

My sons is with a DM now and I nearly cried when they told me it’s just such a big relief fingers crossed he gets what he deserves 🤞🤞 good luck to you all scan date 3/05
