DLA wait times part 12

New thread for DLA wait times part 12 please inform information others may feel helpful in their wait wait times are currently looking at being
15-17 weeks for DLA new claims.

We got our decision today. HRC. I am totally overwhelmed and had some tears.

Still cannot process it properly. Scan date 26/4.

I have sent off e-mails to a physio and a psych to try and get him in as soon as I can. Plus contacted his school to say he can go on the start of term residential now. The school had asked for us to pay for a 1-1 for him for the residential ( it's an indy and we do not have an EHCP) and we simply couldn't. Now we can. So he is not going to miss out.

(He is NOT happy as he hates residentials. ) but he needs to do as much as he can with everyone else in his class.

I feel so very odd. Like so many parents of kids with the invisible SEN you spend most of your time being disbelieved or doubted. Just being validated like this feels so .. different.

I put mine in 23/4. Called on week 15 they said waiting is now longer up to 19 weeks. He said will just have to wait. Now got me thinking that he has not got it. I did find the form not the easiest & there were a few crossings out on form. Anyone heard back that put in around that time. x

Hi scan date 17th May. Has anyone any experience with Renal conditions and CKD.im so anxious about the desision and if my son will be entitled .any advice or exerience would be great😁

Just had a phone call from DLA they have apologised to me and said that the back log is really long atm and my sons claim in now with a DM finally! 25/05 scan date, and should hear back by next week some time.

Might be a stupid question but do all application go to the same place for the whole country?

Scan date 3/5 called up this morning and was told that I should hear by the 1st week of September, fingers crossed for you all 🤞

That gives me hope I’m waiting on two claims my som coc for march 26 week wait and my second sons new claim for may hopefully not long now x

ours was scan date 2/5 so the real nerves can set in now

I don't think that's a stupid qu at all.

I am rationalising it that whether it's done geographically or split up in a different way, at some point they will be divided into different piles or queues so there will be slight differences in people's timings.

Scan date 2nd May here. I notice 28th May was a Friday so I'm hoping there are no scan dates of 29th or 30th, and we're getting close to the top of the pile.

I never even thought about not having scan dates for a weekend.. thats cheered me up! My scan date is 3rd May so hopefully I will hear next week maybe 🤞

The 1st of May was a bank holiday too, I'm the 2nd of May, so should be the first ones to hear

I’ve spoke to dla today, they said they have people working overtime this weekend.
looking at 17-18 weeks before it gets to the dm.

My scan date is 16/5
That's 101 days ago but I'm not counting I promise.

I just called them as couldn't wait any longer. My claim was put in on the 24th April. Was worth the 90 min wait. They looked at it this morning & I've been awarded. Can't believe it phewww. They said letter being sent out today & back payment will be in bank next week. 😋x
