New thread for DLA wait times part 12 please inform information others may feel helpful in their wait wait times are currently looking at being
15-17 weeks for DLA new claims.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
SpaceRaiders · 23/08/2023 08:35

@MansfieldLark Tax credits should really be backdated to the start of the DLA claim. But in order to get it, you’ll need to do a mandatory reconsideration with the reasons why. It’s currently a 100 day wait for this, so get it in quick and you’ll hear back at some point after new year!

Trying to call and being cut off

INWright · 23/08/2023 09:08

Hi all just called.
Scan date 25/04.
Apparently still not with a DM.. could be another 3 weeks he said!
For anyone trying to call today with a similar date to ours this was our outcome. So frustrating!

That's redicilous

INWright · 23/08/2023 09:14

I suppose it is what is it, just really annoying I haven't got much hope now tbh so I'm not even going to be thinking much of it from now forward, the anxiety building up to it was just ridiculous.
I just wanted my son to be heard and listened to he deserves the world and I will keep fighting for him for as long as I'm alive.
Good luck to you all finding out this week!

Mumofasdadhd · 23/08/2023 09:23

Just called them. New claim scan date 28/4.
Been awarded mrc & lrm for my Adhd daughter. Sent no evidence apart from the completed forms from school before her diagnosis.

This isn’t ok people are finding out who scanned after you I would ring up and put official complaint in. Mine is a renewal due to end 9th sept and I couldn’t get through yesterday don’t know if I’m wasting my time

Calypsomum · 23/08/2023 09:47

I spoke to them yesterday and it's currently a 3 week wait before the forms are registered so will take at least 3 weeks to received confirmation of receipt of forms.

Following on from that she told me once the forms are registered, it's an 18 week wait for a decision.

mum1213 · 23/08/2023 09:49

The phone lines are still just cutting me off today so frustrating

Calypsomum · 23/08/2023 09:50

May I ask what you mean when you say 'scanned' date?

Mommyof42023 · 23/08/2023 09:54

I rang yesterday and mine was finally with a decision maker! And my scan date is the 25/04 I put in a complaint for a manager last week and they called yesterday I said I was disgusted in the lack of communication and the wait times for the kids were just unrealistic! They have disgusting wait times already for other appointments.

I hope yours is sorted soon x

At least it's with a DM now hopefully not long for you! All my fingers crossed 🤞 x

Mommyof42023 · 23/08/2023 09:57

Fingers crossed, I’d call back up and ask for a manager to call you there’s people with scan dates after us who have been awarded or are with a dm x

Mumtotwoboys121 · 23/08/2023 10:03

When I rang last week to see if they’d received my extra evidence she told me it was an 18 week wait now. But my letter says 15 which is a generic letter I imagine.
I saw someone on the fb page call and they were told it was a 17.5 week wait and now it’s gone down to 17 as people are working weekends now to get through the backfill.
Fingers crossed for us all 🙏🏻

Shellbel10 · 23/08/2023 10:14

We’ve finally been awarded. Was awarded yesterday high rate care low rate mobility. Good luck everyone and don’t give up. Scan date 27 April

Mommyof42023 · 23/08/2023 10:15

Did you receive a text or letter confirming?
outs went to a decision maker yesterday

Mumofasdadhd · 23/08/2023 10:16

so strange how my 28/4 has been awarded but others havent. Maybe they take longer if they need to contact places for additional info?

Omg amazing!!!!!!!! So happy for you

MamiD · 23/08/2023 10:26

I managed to get through now, scan date is 9/5 and she said it’s 17.5 to 18 week wait so I should hear the first week in September. She was lovely and kept apologising as it is a long time to wait especially in the circumstances with a children with additional needs

mum1213 · 23/08/2023 11:04

I’ve been awarded same for my renewal but for 2 years. Son is asd and diagnosed now so I assumed we would get longer as got 2,2 and now diagnosed I thought a longer award as people have said usually happens. I’m so relieved. Renewal due 9/9 decision made 20/8

Snoweymum · 23/08/2023 11:11

I called yesterday after waiting excatly 16 weeks, he said its taking up to 17 weeks now and I should hear by the middle of September! I said I'm 16 weeks already and he said oh give us another call next week!
