New thread for DLA wait times part 12 please inform information others may feel helpful in their wait wait times are currently looking at being 15-17 weeks for DLA new claims.

I rang yesterday morning and it wasn’t with a decision maker and they said they would call back tomorrow because it’s the 17th week and I had complained because of misleading information and they said it was with a decision make now so I’m presuming it went today, x

i called bk in March to ask for a form and they sent it out but I never recieved so after 6 wks called again sent out didn’t receive.. finally in may I got my form but with may date . I’ve asked them to bk date it to march as I did call in March and April to complain about no receiving the form … there was a lot of bank holiday and stuff . I hope they do bk date it for 6 wks as I did call in 😭

Hi I called up today and they said it’s with a decision maker does anyone know how long it’s with them for the lady on the phone said to watch my bank in case iv been approved and I’ll get a letter after the ward if I have been awarded my scan date was 27/5

My scan date is 25/4 and I've heard nothing yet... trying to call them but I'm stuck listening to the broken messages that's trying tell me they are experiencing a high number of calls😐 they need a better system than this!

Same date as you hun haven't heard anything at all, seen someone from 26/04 been awarded hopefully not long now

Sorry, do you mean your scan date is 27/4 not 27/5?

I was told last Tues mine wasn’t with anyone. Today I called and was told it was awarded yesterday

Hi, I’ve been keeping an eye on the feed the past few days. My scan date is 02/05/2023. I called yesterday and was told it was with a case manager. I’m a case manager for universal credit but not sure what it means for Dla. I’m not too hopeful as it’s for adhd and he has no diagnosis and all I sent was his iep.

Mine is a renewal due to end 9th sept and I wanted an update but the phones keep cutting me off, are they working for others?

I’m shocked at some of these wait times! My sons renewal took around 4 weeks, I sent it mid July, last award was due to end early august and the new award was confirmed last week.

If yours was due to end early august and you just found out that means they let your award end before you found out?

Hey. Could you give me a little insight on how the process of getting the disabled element and the careers element back dated please? Ive put a note in my journal but on the reply from them they havent given me much info just that its gone to a specialist team. How long does it take? And also how long does it take for it to be approved on to my claim? Im due to be paid on the 31st but my month ends 25th and i notified them yesterday will these elements be added on to august atleast whilst they look at the backdate?

Didn't know whether to laugh or cry when i got this through today! Not sure whether the random selection of me has come from the fact i am already in receipt of DLA and carers allowance or my new claim for a second child.
I have blocked out identifying bits.

2 1/2 hours later... DS has been awarded low-rate mobility and high rate care. It was awarded on 18/8 and they're sending a letter not a text. We've got this until 2030! Thank god. The forms are awful 😖 we've also been backdated to my scan date and it's taking 3/-5 working days to go into my account.
Fingers crossed for everyone still waiting! X
