DLA wait times part 12

New thread for DLA wait times part 12 please inform information others may feel helpful in their wait wait times are currently looking at being
15-17 weeks for DLA new claims.

so my mr was scanned on the 1st august and the dm called me on saturday 19th august and told me on the phone he would be overturning the decision and awarding us. So just under 3 weeks.
my sons was just an autism assessment although a high percentage of children who have autism also had adhd. X

@GG89 Thanks. Ok that’s not too bad, hopefully we’ll get a decision by the end of September.

Those assessments are really competitively priced. I’m paying £2800 (quoted £3800 elsewhere) for Autism, then a further £1000 for ADHD. I fees must have sky rocketed recently due to increased demand.

We only had ours back in february and we was seen in central london.

@GG89 We’re in the south east, only an hour or so into London. But I went with a local team recommended by our SENCo as I didn’t want to run the risk of NHS/School refusing the dx.

think phones broke the automated message while you wait is just repeating won’t say the full message

I’m sorry but all I know is I posted form 17th April - if that helps. Cant believe how long it’s taken. My son is 20 now but when I applied for him years ago it was about a month no longer!

Just got through 3/5 scan told me it’d be with the decision maker by the 30th of august @Mumofthreexx97

was the phone line dodgy. Keep getting the broken message on repeat, wondering if I’ll still be in the call queue

Scan dates of the 26th and 27th of April heard nothing so far, rang last week and was told another 2-3 weeks

Does any one know how long you have to wait for payment if you get approved

3-7 days to go into bank I think

I called again yesterday scan date 10/5. Was told 2 weeks will be with DM. Should have a decision 1st week of Sept. Will update when u hear back

Just got through. Scan date 26/4 Awarded yesterday. Dodgy line but answered after 1hr 20 mins

They said money should be in by end of week

Manager just called me following my complaint 17 weeks today and finally with a decision maker! Fingers crossed now for some good news

scan date 2/5 so i'm thinking 2/3 more weeks...honestly - thought 13 weeks was bad enough last year!
