@dex5 hey my decision was made yesterday :) hrc awarded

That's great! I'm on hold now. Hopefully i'll be able to get through

unicornwonders · 18/08/2023 10:15

@dex5 hope they’ve sorted yours, so glad my dds has gone from mrc to hrc, this is gonna really help her

INWright · 18/08/2023 09:14

It really is! Well let's hope it is another week and the wait is finally over Star

My friend put a new claim in scan date was end of April but i don't know the exact date. She got a letter yesterday saying it had been refused, but she hadn't put any supporting documents in (she didn't have any) just a letter confirming diagnosis.

That's fantastic! It really does help more than people realise. I have a feeling that I will be on hold a while! I should have called first thing.

INWright · 18/08/2023 10:24

Oh no bless her I bet she is gutted!
What was her son's diagnosis?
I've sent all the evidence I have from, school reports, family evidenced teacher physiologist reports, nhs appointments!
It's so so draining but hopefully a good outcome for him

He has ASD but only just diagnosed and still very young. No therapies yet and she didn't get evidence from the school. She is very much "i don't want to make a big thing of it" kind of person so was a half hearted attempt to apply because his doctor suggested it. I think as he gets older she will apply again.

Anyone waiting from around mid May I spoke to someone 2 days ago and they told me to expect another 4-5 week wait

Shellbel10 · 18/08/2023 10:55

If anyone rings them today would you mind asking if they have weekend staff on this weekend please

unicornwonders · 18/08/2023 11:00

I have just got through and ds renewal was awarded on the 16th :)

Scan date 17/4 —I spent an hour on hold this morning only to get the most unhelpful woman who told me it’d be until end of August before I’d hear back. I was livid given each person I’ve spoken to these last few weeks has given wildly varying information.

Anyway I’ve just got a text to say we’ve been awarded. No idea what yet. I knew we’d get it eventually, it just means I can now pay for the diagnosis Dd desperately needs.

FWIW I sent no evidence apart from a dyslexia report which referenced potential ADHD, working memory issues. School filled out a statement outlining the current group/1-2-1 support DD gets so that must have played a part too. Now to start the process all over again for DD1, hers will be a little harder as she masks so much. Good luck everyone still waiting!

Keeks11 · 18/08/2023 12:06

@Mummato7 I'm still waiting from mid May (scan date 10/5) called 2 weeks ago and was told mid Sept to Oct so still waiting. X

unicornwonders · 18/08/2023 12:07

does anyone know how long it takes UC to verify the high disability rate as we got the lower rate but now get high rate, so they need to backdate us but also not sure if this will show on my statement as i’m not worried they will try verify it all and i won’t get paid for her as my statement is due sunday

Mumofasdadhd · 18/08/2023 13:56

1st time posting. I have a scan date of 28/4 so hopefully will hear soon. I called yesterday and the lady told me end of next week at the latest 🤞🏻

ET2002 · 18/08/2023 14:12

My scan date is 26/4, I have heard nothing yet and when I called yesterday they said there should be a decision my next week and that there were staff working over the weekend. 🤞
