I printed the forms so mine was backdated to the scan date but I believe they go from the requested form dates if you have done it that way

Something positive to head into the weekend with.
You never know they may have it done today. Don't rely on a text though ad I also requested that and never got one.

Alex900 · 28/04/2023 13:21

@MrsB113 I really hope so but I don’t think I will find out today and I’m ringing and ringing and getting nowhere

TiredOfCleaning · 28/04/2023 14:36

The anxiety (and i am only 3 weeks in) is awful.

I keep thinking and rethinking of everything I wrote in the supporting docs and wondering 'will they think I am making it up?' despite that i have 5 professional assessments all saying the same thing over a course of 8 years. (I never applied before now because i was a bit in denial I think... applying makes it all 'real')

Learningtoacceptmyself · 28/04/2023 15:18

Aren't they on strike today? I rang earlier and just got an automated message sating industrial action.

I sent it off mid Jan, and still waiting (don't know scan date)

Alex900 · 28/04/2023 15:34

We did it!!!!! They accepted his claim I’m chuffed

Alex900 · 28/04/2023 15:38

So now what?

Finally! Congratulations. Did they give you any information about the award. If you have all the dates etc you can start updating anything else ie. Tax credits or universal credit if you get these.
If you don't have the details you'll have to wait until the award letter arrives in the post.

Alex900 · 28/04/2023 18:07

@MrsB113 he got MRC and LRM until jan 2025 back payment has been sent but who knows when that will arrive. I told uc about it but I don’t know if I will get anything extra because I work 🤷🏼‍♀️ what else do they need to know about the dla claim

Shellbel10 · 29/04/2023 08:09

What evidence has everybody sent I’ve sent 10 page occupational therapist report and ieps shown for last 2 school years

Alex900 · 29/04/2023 13:56

@Shellbel10 I sent a two page letter of my own account, and a report from his schools findings which were traits of ASD and ADHD. Then a few week later I sent the reveal letter to CAMHS

Shellbel10 · 29/04/2023 14:34

Thank you can I ask what Cahms is please we have been referred to paeds for social communication assessment is this the same thing. Sorry very new to all of this

bellswithwhistles · 29/04/2023 14:37

I"m just getting on with my life. Why is everyone ringing? Is it what it is - surely?! I simply can't see how constantly ringing is speeding up a decision, it's simply taking time away from the team making it.

Shellbel10 · 29/04/2023 14:41

I don’t think the decision makers are the call centre staff to be honest

The DMs aren’t the ones who are picking up the phone so it doesn’t make much difference. I do think if the communication was a bit more consistent then people wouldn’t need to ring up all the time. Some people get texts whilst others don’t. Some people get letters in the post to acknowledge thier claim when others don’t.

Sometimes it seems like the only way to know what’s actually going on is to call. As you can see by these threads, a lot of posters only find out that they’ve been awarded once they’ve called up. It seems that any communication to let them know about their award hasn’t reached them yet or isn’t even on the way. There’s a lot of people on the FB group that only know they’ve been awarded by checking their bank account!

I’m only on week 6 but if I haven’t heard anything at all by week 12/13, I’ll certainly call to see what’s going on and ask what stage the claim is currently at

megan345 · 29/04/2023 22:09

i think an online tracker would be useful and would free up phone lines x

Adhdmummytoyearold · 30/04/2023 02:30

Hi my scan date was 15/03, i sent an assessment review by my support worker for my sons adhd, a CAMHS referral letter, school reviews stating my son cant sit still and runs of his chair and also a letter confirming that i was seen by a paediatrician and have been referred for my son to be on the pathway. Do you think this is enough information to be accepted? I’ve been reading all these threads and they have helped alot but i have adhd myself so im just hoping i get some reassurance. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼

Alex900 · 30/04/2023 05:12

@Shellbel10 children and adolescents mental health services. If a child is under a certain age they are referred to paediatrics, over that age it’s to CAMHS it’s made up of different professionals that can help children living with different needs. That’s where the people over a certain age will get a diagnosis from the waiting list in my area is 2.5years so I have a long wait

LoopyLouLou22 · 01/05/2023 08:17

Good morning everybody,

J8231 · 02/05/2023 09:57
