I have just spoken to someone, got through straight away. I had to call to update them on my sons medication and the increase in dose. They advised me that they are still working on end of March claims and its looking at 17.5/ 18 weeks before its with a decision maker. My scan date is 20th April.

Shellbel10 · 31/07/2023 13:30

I’m sure if you scroll back someone with scan date in April was awarded last week. If anyone is awarded can you let us know with your scan date so we can see where they are at with times.

MammaLBlue · 31/07/2023 13:55

I got awarded last Wednesday, scan date 3rd April

Zoemelia · 31/07/2023 15:16

Yes they have- think I seen someone who had a scan date of 6th april has been awarded. Will just have to wait. His not 5 till January so won't get mobility even though he has struggles.

Everlong1234 · 01/08/2023 10:24

To give people an idea on where they are working at, my scan date is 5th April and I phoned this to find out we were awarded a few days ago. Payment due this week. Good luck everyone.

We've just had a text and been awarded
Scan date 11th April 😊😊

Mummyto3boys23 · 01/08/2023 14:18

That's amazing 👏
So pleased for you x

Pk12 · 02/08/2023 14:50

Hi everyone for those of you that have been awarded have you been paid the cost of living or did you report it missing? Also my partner has applied for the carers element to be backdated and i was just wondering how long yours took to get sorted. Thank you and good luck to everyone waiting for a dla decision

tiredmum1989 · 02/08/2023 19:35

Mine wasn’t included in the back payment I had so I reported it missing just less than a week ago. Still haven’t had it yet though.

Mumofsoontobe5 · 02/08/2023 21:15

This thread is getting pretty full is anyone starting up a pt 12? Could make these series of threads into books 🤣

1990shopefulftm · 03/08/2023 11:17

If anyone has sent additional evidence in the middle of the process, have you sent a cover letter or needed to include anything?

Our scan day is May 18th, so i m wondering whether I bother sending some paperwork I now have from nursery and portage, or since we're possibly looking at a 4-5 weeks for the decision maker to get it anyway just to hold back and use the extra for if I have to go with an MR.

Shellbel10 · 04/08/2023 11:04

Does anyone know how to make a new thread. @Mummyto3boys23 have you heard anything yet as you are a week in front of me

Mummyto3boys23 · 04/08/2023 11:09

I have no idea how to do a new thread 🤦‍♀️ no I haven't. Been 15 weeks now so really hoping to hear next week but who knows x

TiredOfCleaning · 04/08/2023 12:18

end of week 14 here and I am in a rising state of anxiety about it all!

@1990shopefulftm I sent a cover letter along with my additional evidence just briefly summarising the change that had been made so they knew why I was sending it.

Zoemelia · 04/08/2023 17:00

Week 20 of coc hoping not waiting much longer now

Ll333 · 04/08/2023 20:10

It's completely understandable to feel anxious about submitting your DLA form for your child with ASD, especially when you've put effort into providing a detailed 10-page report from the pediatric consultant. While I'm not an expert on DLA assessments, including a comprehensive report should indeed offer valuable insights into your child's struggles and needs. Referring to specific pages in the report for various questions seems like a reasonable approach, as it directs the assessors to the relevant information. Remember that the goal is to paint a clear picture of your child's challenges and how they impact daily life. If you're still concerned, you might want to reach out to the relevant authorities or support groups for advice. Many people find the DLA application process daunting, so you're not alone in feeling this way. Trust that you've done your best to convey your child's situation, and if there are any additional documents or details needed, they will likely let you know.
