Hi all :)

just incase anyone is in a similar position - backpay took 4 working days

universal credit change was reported however no response as of yet. Although it seems a different department deals with backpay so the change of circumstance should be in their usual timeframes of a week or so

megan345 · 24/04/2023 21:59

@Lodol i'm hoping backpay comes in tomorrow for us then! we've had no response off of UC yet either, but i've been told to be a bit naggy with them as they will take their time if they can get away with it😂x

hadenoughofhisshit · 24/04/2023 22:14

How do I report it to UC please?

Adhdmummytoyearold · 25/04/2023 09:12

Hi I’m going through exactly what you are going through, when i tell my son of he says things like “i hate you” and “i want to kill myself” and its all symptoms of ODD i think you should look into it and see if it relates to your child it’s so stressful listening to these words come out and hee even says things like he wants to kill me and gets so angry easily

Kellunar · 25/04/2023 09:49

Hi has anyone heard anything from around a scan date of 24/1, I keep getting messages that their still looking at my claim, been 13 weeks today?

Alex900 · 25/04/2023 10:03

I received a text today saying we are still working on your dla claim I’m on 12 week 4 days scan date 27th. How long after the text did you get the decision

megan345 · 25/04/2023 10:04

@Alex900 we got that text monday, dm tuesday, awarded wednesday but found out when called thursday x

MrsB113 · 25/04/2023 10:05

I've had the text today too. Scan date is the same 27/1

Sarahc91 · 25/04/2023 10:28

I'm so happy for my girl! Got a text this morning to say she qualifies 🙌🙌 she is 4 and has a rare auto immune disease literally the only child In the UK with it so expected a decline, rang yesterday and the Dm was waiting to hear from the medical representative to ask a few questions but she got it! I'm so relieved so if anyone is waiting for a child with a rare illness there is hope xxx so happy just on hold waiting to find out what rates x

Sorry to hear this

Ah thanks little perplexed as sent alot of evidence so curious to see their reasoning

MrsB113 · 25/04/2023 10:42

If I'm honest I am preparing myself for a decline as unfortunately although my dd has a diagnosis, it's only recent and a full report hasn't been done yet so the only evidence I have been able to send is her prescription.
Hope the letter arrives quickly for you

I hope your outcome is more positive it's a nightmare isn't it

MrsB113 · 25/04/2023 11:01

Its such a long and stressful wait

MrsB113 · 25/04/2023 11:20

Just got through. Decision made this morning. Dd has been awarded mrc and lrm for 2years.

Lauren1491 · 25/04/2023 11:43

Congratulations 👏

MrsB113 · 25/04/2023 12:25

Thank you, the lady on the phone seemed so annoyed to be answering yet another call but once through security and she confirmed the award her attitude completely changed and she was so helpful. Gave me all the award dates, how the backpay was worked out and the date the next payment would be.
Enough information that I was able to inform tax credits straight away.

Jay53 · 25/04/2023 12:31

I just got through. Not awarded ☹️. I was quite sure he would be awarded as my son is due to have a feeding tube fit.

When I rang last Thursday to add information the lady seemed very blunt it's put me off ringing to see if there's an update on my claim for my dd!! 😐 I'm glad it's all sorted for you.

RobWell · 25/04/2023 12:40

Awarded HRC for 2 years, such a relief,

Does anyone know how I let UC know?

Lauren1491 · 25/04/2023 12:44

AHH congratulations, I think if you log into your UC account and give them a ring someone will guide you through what to do. IV done that before not for dla but something else.
